They DO NOT have an allergy warning on their Pollo Pesto pizza and have not added any disclaimer to that menu item despite a conversation with the manager/owner after a severe allergic reaction.

My boyfriend and I ordered a Pollo Pesto pizza from here. My boyfriend is deathly allergic to tree nuts. He has had pesto from other places many times with no issue. However he took two bites of the Pollo Pesto pizza from Stone Canyon, and his throat started closing up and face started swelling…needless to say it was a scary night. A couple days later, he went to talk to the manager and let them know of the incident. The manager spoke to the owner, and the only feedback my boyfriend received was “walnuts are a very common ingredient in all pesto.” Walnuts are not a widely known common ingredient for pesto, and we have seen a few other restaurants that include a nut allergy warning if added to their pesto. Meanwhile the manager did not seem to understand the gravity of the incident nor how to apologize and make the situation better. My boyfriend did not threaten any lawsuit, he was just warning them of the incident to hopefully help prevent another person from experiencing a similar scary situation. It’s been two weeks from that conversation, and still no disclaimer added. That is very disappointing to see because the food...

I have been to this location 3 out of the past 5 weeks, we enjoyed our pizzas so much. However, it was our last visit that is influencing this review.

Our last visit was 01/31/2025. We had ordered our usual pizza for pick-up. Everything was great - the food, the pick-up, the interaction - everything. The problem happened the following Monday when we saw that our credit card was charged twice for our meal. As this location is not open on Mondays, I had to go in on Tuesday 02/04/2025 to try to get this fixed. I spoke with a Manager, JP, who stated that he was aware of the issue, as I was NOT the only one double-charged for their meal. He claimed that it was the fault of the Credit Card Processor and that they were in contact with them trying to get things fixed. JP took my name and details (cell number, order date, total) and stated that he would call me when he had more information. From there? NOTHING! No call. No return of my money.

I just wanted others to be aware, and to suggest that if they DO want to patronize this establishment, BRING CASH! (edited to add that the second charge was...

Horrible HORRIBLE service from the minute we walked in the door. The hostess was NOT welcoming at all when that is her whole job title. She was very short with us and barely smiled. We had to wait 10 minutes even though there were 5 tables open not being reserved. Then our waiter was rude as well. He seemed to care more about other tables than us. We got our appetizer with no plates. 5 minutes later our plates were brought to us. When our pizza finally came, the girl mumbled our type of pizza, sat it down and walked away quickly. Again, we had no plates except our very small ones that were brought for our appetizer. We eventually started eating off the small ones because our waiter was not coming to check on us. When he came back, he filled our waters and walked away before we could even ask for normal plates. He didn't once ask us how our pizza turned out (which was burnt) or offer to bring us different plates. As soon as he gave us our check he started being nice and attentive....

Ah, it's Saturday night and time to go in search of a tasty sandwich. It's been several years since I've eaten at this place. I first ate at their place in Parkville in the late 90's. It was a great and quick place to get a tasty and reasonably priced lunch. In those days one of my favorite sandwiches that they offered was the Italian Sub. And that is what I ordered tonight. This sandwich consists of...Smoked ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni, cheddar and provolone cheeses with banana peppers baked in an Italian roll. Served with lettuce, tomato and Italian dressing. Warm from the oven, I tossed on the tomatoes and shredded lettuce and then drenched it in Italian dressing. Taking a bite, I get the freshness of the bread, the savory flavors of the meat, sweet juiciness of the tomatoes, and the crisp crunch of the lettuce followed by the bite of the Italian dressing. This place is well worth your time to pay a visit to. Well Done Stone Canyon Pizza Co.

We were very disappointed, from start to finish. It took 5 minutes to get greeted by our server, who we barely saw. Every time she walked by the table she looked away from us. No drink refills. The chicken in my pasta seemed like it came from a can and the pizza had no flavor and seemed like it came from the cheap section at the grocery store or Chuck E Cheese. Our bill was $42 which would have been fine if the food tasted good and was nice quality. It was so loud in there, voices echoing from people talking and children yelling. It was small and claustrophobic. We’ve spent less at Minsky’s and had way better food.

My wife and I anticipated a nice detroit style pizza. We ordered ahead because they sell out so often. We picked up our pie anf when we got it home the charcol crust tasted so horrible we threw it away. I called the Manager he was more than willing to replace the pie the problem lies with the fact that the Manager believes that is how the pie should be. Go to the Parlor downtown and order Detroit style pizza there you wont be dissapointed. No pie should taste like what was served to us.
