We was in Happy Rock antique store today looking for records and we had been there quite a while and we noticed a couple people following us. They would even come to the same booth we was in and act as if they was looking around. We would move to the next booth and there they were again. That happened a few times then we realized they were employees there. They was following us around to see if we were stealing. I took my records to the counter so I could finish looking around and I noticed them taking the albums out of the covers to what I assume to make sure I didn’t put any more in the covers with the ones I was buying.. They even went so far As to check the tags to make sure they was right. We could even hear them over there whispering about us. I do not appreciate being watched over as if we are thiefs. I love this place so much! I enjoyed browsing through the very large selection. The store may be a bit overwhelming at first for some people because there is a LOT of stuff crammed in there; but I didn't mind. It was hot in there ( I went in August) so I recommend coming early, on a colder day, or bringing a fan.😂 The staff were friendly and welcomed us in. There was a lot of lovely things in there, sometimes it can get a bit pricey but it is an athentic antique store so it's to be expected. The store had a huge selection, from old barbies still in their boxes, to a large selection of furniture upstairs(their 2nd story is dedicated to solely furniture). Have been here several times and spent a lot of money in the past. Never had to bring anything back so did not realize the all sales final policy. I understand policy, what I contend is the way it was handled. I went to to the cashier, she said all sales are final, I explained I wish that was displayed by the register because we just bought this and it doesnt work. The lady said "well no one made you buy it" I explained I hope that 16 dollars goes a long ways because "no one will make me come back either." Again, I get policy but the response was quite off putting. I was encouraged by someone on the way out to reach out to the vendor directly, I will do that.
