I was going to not leave a comment because I am a firm believer that God does justice and we shouldn’t take justice into our own hands, but since the owner or employee decided to reply due to my rating I have meditated and believe the right thing to is respond. When I signed my children up for this particular school I sat down with the owner, and discussed my goals for my children and a little about my life and my plans. He was aware of a move that I would potentially make if in Kansas City things would not go as plan. Unfortunately this is what happened and God made this an option that I had to take because I loss my job, and everything. I reached out because when we had our first sit down he discussed this information and he said no problem just reach out to me prior to the 1st of the month because when payment is taken out it can not be reimbursed. He even suggested that when I move to St Joseph that there is a school that one of his students own. I was excited that the kids would not loose this experience if I moved and though that the owner and I came into an agreement. Well I loss my job and the move had to happen it was God’s will. I reached out prior like I was told to the owner explained the situation did not receive not one response or explanation. I reached out to the business number and no response or call back I even left messages. Comes April my account was deducted the amount. I reached out because I was confused and I was told there was this 3 month policy I explained to the employee our discussion and she even said that she doesn’t understand and believes me because she sees the notes on the account. Let me add the month before the owner and I exchange text that I still have about not sending my kids he did not deduct the fund because he stated “ he wanted to respect my wishes” and waited till I gave the ok. In 30 days this changed. I understand contractual agreements but this was a conversation noted and signed before I made any agreement. In the end I will have to pay 175 dollars for three months for a school my children do not attend. This money was taken out of my deposit for a home all I can do is cry but there is a God that knows all truth and I rather be poor than deceitful. I won’t insult the individual because I believe that there is a God, but for parents on tight budgets or single moms please don’t go to these types of establishment I thought that he was a Godly man and had the same beliefs and that I would pay more but my children would learn morals and respect for others as well as self defense. That was just a marketing scheme and I made the mistake of believing in it. The district offers karate programs that are very affordable and trust me your children will learn the very same thing maybe even better because it is not a full class like this one. I pray for the owner and his family and that God has mercy and it’s ok I know that somehow I’ll get the money needed for my home.I have proof of all the text for anyone who is in disbelief I am a God fearing woman and I would not make this up the employee also seen the notes on the account about the move I was going to only take a break and return the boys to the school even with my move I just needed time because I loss everything in a split second but they didn’t care, but even though he was not compassionate the move was already discussed.By the way the owner never reached out till I gave him a rating after separation did not even try to explain himself because he knows the truth, but it’s ok my kids and I have God and even with what you did we won’t be...

Very professional staff.They are knowledgable of their craft and offer a varied curriculum of martial arts training to all age groups. I spent 37 years in the military noncommissioned officer corps, achieved multiple specialties and retired as a senior NCO. Much of my career was focused on training and developing junior enlisted soldiers to be the best fighting force and able to serve at their optimum level regardless of the challenges they would face in combat.

Personally, I find the PMA staff, with their degree of professionalism , carefully taught training methodologies, positive attitude and 1:1 instruction of techniques on par with any hand to hand combative classes I ever received while in the military. I have found them to be welcoming, encouraging and always helpful in classes. Reviews are not something I typically take part in. However Mr.Palmer and his staff at Pride martial arts are well above spectacular. The amount of professionalism and dedication to increasing the safety and confidence of anyone who walks in the school. It doesnt stop there. They allow personality while also instilling discipline and respect. I recommend this school and its staff to anyone who wants confidence in themselves or their child.
