Cowboy's Country Cookin' — Restaurant in Glasgow

This occurred in 2021. The food at Cowboys ten out of ten times is outstanding! However, there is this one waitress (just this one, the others are outstanding) as my luck would go the majority of my visits to this establishment. I get stuck with having the above-mentioned waitress. (I do not know her name so lets just call her broom stick Brenda for story sake) The past two prior visits to this establishment, I come in waving & smiling to the staff as if I'm running for Congress, while not being able to win second place in a Dog catchers race in a one person district, I sat down waited Broom Stick Brenda walks by me with her nose in the air so high I'm surprised she wasn't snorting drywall while walking. After several more minutes of Broom stick Brenda standing there, I stood up & asked her if I could get something to drink, her response (well I didn't see you come in) naturally she had to see me she had been staring right at me with her good eye! her lazy eye wonders off. Another visit a week later, the same event transpired lazy eyes, wondering off an all. Fast forward to today (November 5th 2021) I came in & sat down, waiting & waiting as she walked by me cleaning off tables (good eye looking at me, lazy eye wondering off) I wasn't upset at this time she was doing her duties as a waitress, until three individuals came in an sat at a table next to me, I was setting in a booth, she came over to their table & asked what they would like to drink, then came back & asked what they would like to eat, I politely spoke up (table was next to me) "excuse me ma'am I was here before them" after I said that out came the Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day "I didn't see you come in what do you want?" Again, her lazy eye was wandering around the Restraunt while her good eye was fixed on me. I politely said I didn't want anything from this establishment again, and I left. If they didn't want me to frequent their establishment, they could have told me, I've been divorced a time or four I know the meaning of don't come back. " At first I thought maybe in my younger years I went out with this old gal & did her wrong, so maybe just maybe I might of had this one coming, but then I realized that can't be the case that old gal hasn't been "datable" for about four decades. The food is outstanding, but it isn't worth having to beg to be able to eat there. I will never be back to this establishment after today, I would rather have my ex-wife cook for me (2nd ex-wife if anyone is keeping count) & she tried to poison me. I hope I never see Broom Stick Brenda or that lazy eye again. I'll never be able to watch Ground Hog Day again without crying while thinking...

We finally made it here and we were not impressed. The waitresses are clueless as to how waitressing works. A table only needs one waitress, not two, to keep coming by. We asked both who was really our waitress and each time, they would throw the other under the bus and say oh, they were just getting your drinks, or oh she was just covering my break. But then they both would return....One took drinks, the other tried taking our order, the first one came back, finally took our order, then the 2nd one tried to do the same....Then, when food came out, it was the 2nd waitress bringing it out...I asked for eggs well done, the eggs I had were most definitely not well done. The waitress that took the order even wrote it down and repeated it back to me beforehand. Obviously, the cook messed up. I went to check my sausage patties and they were also not done. They both still had pink. I'm sorry but there's no way I'm eating any pink ground meats of any type. Ground meats are far more susceptible to foodborne illnesses than solid pieces such as steaks or pork chops. It being ground pork, most definitely not okay, especially with myself being pregnant. The fact that the food was cold upon arrival, half done, with messy service, I would not recommend nor will I be back. I'll stick to Southern Cup Cafe, at least they make sure your breakfast is cooked to your liking and safety, plus they have amazing coffees...

2nd visit: What a LET DOWN!! We are in wonder of why the food and service was so bad this time! Apparently on the weekend, they dont serve mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and some other items!! It was our carb up day and their menu said they have Mac and cheese. Well, their menu is not up to date! The waitress was less than thrilled when that is one of the reasons we came today. I asked for my Cheeseburger to be cooked to medium, it was well done, and no mayo. Puzzles me on a deluxe burger. Same with my husbands Burger and same condition on the bun. Bun was stale and soggy. I ordered Tator tots, they we just ok but it looked like less than than a full serving. Waitress didnt come check on us until after my husband was done and I was almost done. So, just beware if you go there. Expect disappointment. Potato salad looks like it comes from Walmart. See new pictures I added.

1st visit Wow, another hidden gem. It was very busy for lunchtime. Had fast service, waitress was very attentive. We had breaded mushrooms, then ordered a bacon cheeseburger with tots. And a regular Cheeseburger deluxe with beer battered onion rings! So GOOD! The meat actually tasted good. Fresh. Not a frozen patty! All our food was good. And their interior is beautiful!!! Dont be afraid to try it! Note: They are closed the week of July 10th, 2023...
