Well, where do I start? We haven’t been here in years but my wife wanted Pumpkin raviolis and this place had it and it wasn’t far so we went. When we ordered our dinner they didn’t have the pumpkin ravioli on there so my wife just said pumpkin ravioli. When it came out it was a full dinner of not only pumpkin ravioli but also crabmeat and shrimp which my wife is allergic to. We called over the waiter and told him that we didn’t know that was on there and my wife was allergic which he was very nice and said no problem we actually have an APPETIZER without the seafood, my wife said yea thats perfect. So it finally comes out with 4 medium size pumpkin ravioli. We said oh well, continued our dinner and then the check comes out. I see that the pumpkin ravioli was still on there with the seafood it’s $40. I call the waiter and say that the dinner with the seafood is on there, he said sorry and proceeded to go take it off. I turn around and the waiter pointed out our table to the manager and he started staring at me and saying something to the waiter, this is when I knew something wasn’t going well. The waiter finally comes back, I say does the manager have some kind of problem or something I seen he was saying something to you and I think that was very unprofessional that he was staring at me. He said yea he wasn’t happy that I asked him to adjust the check. I said we told you that we had no clue it came with seafood the first time, the waiter said I know believe me but he is just that way. I said I wasn’t paying $40 for 4 medium size ravioli appetizer. He gave me a new check and I paid for it. Now all of a sudden here comes the manager, I said is there a problem? Do you have a problem my wife had the appetizer 4 raviolis and we didn’t know etc. he says no it’s fine the cook just told me that he didn’t put the appetizer on that check. I’m like the cook didn’t tell you? What? (Does this guy think I’m from mars?) He’s like I gotta adjust it. He gives me a new check and voided the other one and acts like he did me a favor and is my friend and walks away real quick. I say to the waiter I just paid the other check and I won’t get that money back for a few days now. I’m so annoyed at this point I pay the new check and tell my wife let’s get outta here. I get in the car and we notice that the manager charged us $29 for the 4 medium size pumpkin ravioli. I said never again I will never eat at that restaurant again that manager did it for me. He acted like he wasn’t mad but he really was then stiffed me anyway. Absolutely so unprofessional management to say the least. Thanks to Pino for a horrible...

I want to let you know that I was in your establishment w a large party Christmas Eve. And was very disappointed w many things and after today another issue (I will explain later) I needed to let an owner/management know.
Like I said it was a large party. We had one waiter. ONE. SO THEREFORE NOT TO HIS FAULT but service was horrible. He tried his best. But neglected to ck back after serving the entire table their meals to make sure everyone got theirs. And unfortunately one person did not receive her meal. Sadly, she was the one who made the reservation and needed not to be home on a holiday because she suddenly had just lost her husband of many years. This lead to many tears while the other in the party myself included tried to enjoy our meals. That being said I couldn’t eat so one bite out of my chicken parmigiana and I packed it to go.
Today I decided to eat my leftovers...needless to say I did not get my chicken parmigiana which was packed and handed to me at the end of the meal. But I got seafood which I have extreme allergies to. No idea where my entire meal went bc no one in our party got it from what i confirmed.
This was a very horrible dinner. Besides being PUT in an outside porch where we were all freezing and uncomfortable, I’d advise if you use that corner in the future that corner needs more heat. The rest of the porch seemed comfortable as did the inside but our corner was very cold. Not just chilly.
I didn’t post this as a public review instead wanted to vent to hopefully reach someone that can make changes. The restaurant was cold, under manned, bathroom trash was over flowing, forgetting meals, packing up wrong meals for patrons etc.
Sorry but I felt this needed to be said
His response was sorry we tried to send her home w a meal and took 50$ off bill. Yea. Screw me and my entire meal that I was unable to eat got thrown away but I paid for. Thank god...
Read moreWe have been dining here 2-3 times a month for years. Food is always consistent but last night the service team made a mistake, and the owner’s response was inexcusable.
It was a cold evening and my wife, daughter, and I were seated in the enclosed outdoor patio. While the outdoor area can hold maybe 70-80 people, only five tables were seated and frankly, it was a bit cold, but thankfully we were seated close to the ONLY outdoor torch style heater. There was a fireplace but it was about 75 feet away. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for our meal, as the kitchen lost our order, a worker shut down the heater, and moved it 75 feet away from us, apparently at the request of another larger table. When we asked politely if they could bring back a heater for us, we were advised that they didn’t have another, and that we could move our table. Keep in mind we were in the middle of eating our meals, about 1.5 hours late. Finally, the owner came out and apologized but offered no other assistance or consideration . Frankly he was curt, rude, and his apology was not genuine. What the owner should have done was called over his wait staff, escorted our plates to an inside table, and offered a dessert on the house. Rather than be a true business professional, he dropped to go boxes on our table and walked away and did not even say goodnight when we departed. We did the right thing…. We paid our bill and left a gratuity for our server.
Sorry to see this type of behavior. As a business owner, if I ran my company this way, I would not have many happy customers.
Moral of the story, don’t accept a reservation for outside dining at Italian Affair unless you bring your hat, gloves, and jacket. If you’re going to seat people outside, then provide ample heaters and comfort. Oh well - will vote with my wallet. I was spending over $300.00 a month / $3,500.00 a year dining here, the owner needs a lesson in...
