Found myself out running errands and suddenly starving. Panchero's caught my eye, so I popped in for something quick and easy. I had a pork quesadilla. It was mediocre. The shredded pork, while a nice consistency, tasted more like BBQ pulled pork than something that had been seasoned with Mexican spices, onions, peppers, etc. The fresh pressed tortillas is an awesome concept, but as someone else said, they were soggy by the time I took a bite. Also, it would've been nice to have been asked if I wanted any veggies on my quesadilla...onions, peppers and Pico de Gallo may have helped with the flavor.
I also ordered a chips and queso to go because we love it. The queso was okay, but I'm pretty sure it was just like white Velveeta with some tomatoes and green chiles tossed in. Pretty bland. And the portion was TINY for the price. Chips were also a major disappointment. They were blue, which is cool, but they definitely felt and tasted like they came out of a bag. Major faux pas. If you're going to be a "Mexican" restaurant, make your chips in house! Seriously. Also, a ridiculous serving size. Maybe 20 chips in a small sandwich-sized bag. Comparable restaurants give you a lunch-bag sized order of chips with plenty of quest to last. This serving size was ridiculous.
The place was clean, however (maybe because there was no one in there), and service was friendly enough. It would be a decent spot for a quick bite of lunch, I guess, if you were in the area with few options, but if I wanted a nice dinner out, I'd definitely...
Read moreI went in last night for a burrito and it was kind of annoying how the person who communicated with customers for food did not speak English whatsoever and kept putting the wrong stuff on my burrito. There were some that spoke English that insisted not helping the poor man obviously communicate with him what I wanted on my food. On top of that I asked for chicken and they were extremely stingy with the portion, two table spoons of chicken is double chicken supposedly. The worst portions I’ve ever seen it was frustrating. Chipotle will give you so much more portions for even less the price. Somehow my burrito was 18 dollars too when I didn’t even have too much toppings. I used to like this place before it was ran by someone else who’s clearly a cheapskate with customers. Definitely the type of place that uses old chicken from previous nights. The food however wasn’t terrible. I just wish it was better service and they weren’t stingy with the amount of food presented as well as the price for it. Not worth it in my opinion. I’d only reccomend this place if there wasn’t a chipotle near by but if there is, save yourself...
Read moreI have been going to this Pancheros since the very first day it opened... I normally have excellent customer service & excellent value.. Today was the exception.. I was the only customer in the store.. The kid who was working was friendly & started helping me.. Then they manager on duty took over & that when my experience went down hill.. He started rushing me like the place was busy ( again only customer in the store).. I ordered double meats but got a fraction of what I normally receive... I normally get my selection a very specific way.. I tried to tell the manager exactly how I wanted it but again in a rush he did it his way.. When I said something about it he told me that was the way it has to be done even though I have had it my way every other time I have ordered it.. I started to say something but I just went along with it.. I planned to order 2 more things & drinks but after dealing with him I decided to just take what I already had & go.. This is the 1st time I ever seen this manager ... If I see he is working again I will likely go to Taco Bell or the soon to open...
