Stopped in around 1 pm and it was packed. It's a lot bigger than I expected with a large main dining room that is kind of split in half and a couple other rooms that are about half the size of the main dining room. This makes it feel a little smaller and not like you are in a huge cafeteria. It wasn't exactly cozy dining but the layout helps give a little more privacy. They have a huge selection. Several different kinds of sushi, along with American favorites like pizza and onion rings. Most of the food is typical Chinese buffet type dishes , but there are enough different things I just wasn't expecting. Prime rib, burritos, a pretty decent salad bar and a few other surprises. Everything I tried was. Pretty good. After about 5 plates there was still so much I wanted to try but I was pretty full. The bbq ribs were good and I also liked the red chicken on a stick( forgot what it was called. A couple few different kinds of shrimp, and 4-5 different soups. Some of the crab and scallop dishes tasted like imitation crab but we're still tasty. They did have a good selection of other seafood including a delicious seafood boil. I can't say the food was the best I ever had but it was pretty good. There was a lot of variety so there was plenty to choose from. I've been to a lot of seafood buffets and for the price this is one of my favorites. The servers took away plates in a timely manner and brought drinks and refills pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place. There are a lot of families with children. It generally had a friendly atmosphere and for as many peoe as there were everyone was polite at the buffet and I really didn't have to stand in line. No soft serve ice cream (maybe due to COVID) but they do have small cups in a few different flavors. They Also have some other desserts if ice cream isn't your thing. I could just list as many dishes as possible but I will let you be pleasantly surprised at some of the unexpected things you will find. None of the food looked to be sitting out for long and empty pand we're quickly replaced with fresh hot full ones. Almost a 5 star, I would give it a four and a half if I could. Definitely try this place. Make sure your hungry and have enough time to try a little bit of everything. I wanted to try a little bit of everything but got full before I could. I'm a big eater and I definitely left full...
Read moreBrought a friend today 2/25/21, she had never been to this restaurant told her but I have been many many times over the years & told her how I loved it, this is my first time back since the Covid pandemic, I understand that it’s been tough on businesses with this pandemic but I was sorely disappointed today, with several things. The food was very good but was told you have to ask for noodles when ordering won ton soup, we ordered a few different items from their menu, the plate was very small with a VERY small amount of food on the plate except for the tons of white rice, my friend asked for butter, waitress brought 2 cups with melted butter which we thought was broth from won ton soup in was in the same type of cup. Melted Butter??? Huh??? We didn’t want to get seconds on the food because we weren’t happy with the first plate of about 95% white rice, I had ordered steak & peppers & onions there was 1 piece of steak very tiny 2 tiny pieces of green pepper & 2 tiny pieces of onion it was a disgrace. We both ordered cheesecake for dessert, we were served a small sliver of something “ Yellow” I’ve never seen yellow cheesecake before, my friend & I both put a small amount on the fork to try it, all I can say is OMG! WTH? It was disgusting we both at the same exact time push the paper dish away put down the fork, I called the waitress over told her it was terrible & we wanted something else, we asked for chocolate pudding which came in tiny little styrofoam cups ( I never saw such tiny styrofoam cups) we both had coffee which was the only good part of the entire meal & experience. The bill was $27.98. In my personal opinion it wasn’t worth $2.79. I will not be back until, if & when this pandemic is over then I will try it again when it’s back to the buffet, back to the normal fantastic buffet restaurant it was before this crazy time we are...
Read moreUsually it would be a 4 star buffet, but today service was a little lacking and I'm forgiving it for the overall score but if it happens next time I'll drop a star from the overall score. If it improves I'll edit appropriately. Here is why I think service was lacking. Plates lingered on the table, and chips remained empty for extended times. Servers were always cutting off the diners while walking to and from the buffet. I was bumped a few times even when I tried to give way to them. We had a person using a cane and we were seated as far from the buffet as possible. We did not ask to be relocated since we were able to deal with the situation, but it should be people with walking issues should be seated closer, especially when there are plenty of seats available closer to the buffet. Now for the food. Food is what you would expect at a buffet but slightly higher quality than most. Sushi is above average for a buffet but no where near a proper sushi place quality. No crab legs to be seen but there was crawfish and shrimp. Food was cycled quickly when it was low or empty. The mushrooms in sauce and chicken on a stick are the best items in my opinion. A few times up are general tso chicken, teriyaki chicken, fried wings, and black pepper chicken. A few things I stay away from are fried wonton, egg rolls and dumplings. For some reason they never agree with my belly. It sucks cause my favorite thing and 1 of 3 basic items I judge Chinese food restaurants on is fried wonton. Dessert was ok, basically genetic cakes, jello and pudding. I miss the ice cream machine! I also wish they served Coca-Cola instead of Pepsi. I...
