The Diamond Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Glastonbury

Avoid this place both staff and owner are rude and as someone who has worked in customer service they don’t seem to care about the way they treat customers. Go to Plan B or the Rooftop. This place used to be good. I was having a rough day and went there to calm down was completely sober when I got there because I knew I was going to a bar and they made assumptions because I was using breathing techniques that I’ve been taught to try to calm and when called to complain the next day they said I should have communicated that. I’m sorry but I thought it was the job of people who work there to communicate. So I had only one drink and was cut off. Went to plan b To calm down from how curt and abrasive they were - they make assumptions and apparently the patrons need to do the communicating. That is not how I have ever been taught to do while I worked in the industry. This place has been hit or miss for years just skip it and go straight to plan b of you want the people who work to communicate and do their job. I went there after and there was 1 woman working the whole bar and she still found time to communicate with me- they have impeccable customer service skills and engaging workers. I met 3 other people at Plan B that all had similar stories and hate the diamond now. I didn’t know people still even went there until last night and now I know why. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I took my girlfriend out to eat for her birthday and decided to try out Diamond Pub. When we entered the establishment it seamed nice and different than what we are used to which is not bad. But when we arrived we waited for someone to seat us and the host was on her phone and took her time to attend us. When we finally got seated by the server we did not receive any menus or even asked us if we would like a drink. We waited for about 20 minutes and waved our server but he completely ignored us. I will not be coming back and will not recommend anyone...

I used to frequent The Diamond. Today at work we decided to order out for lunch. As it’s only 10 mins away, they told me 20 minutes on the phone, I waited 45+ minutes for my food. Then a mistake was made by whomever took the order. It’s a loud bar I get it. But instead of apologizing and offering a solution absolutely no resolution could be made by anyone. The only person who offered any effort was Liv. The management should be ashamed of their lack of people skills.
