L'Chayim Delicatessen — Restaurant in Glen Arbor Township

Most awful food and staff I’ve ever dealt with. Food was the worst. It was dried out, bagels were burnt and tasteless. Food was extremely overpriced, too. Bald headed man was the worst of it. He was extremely rude and nasty to us when we went to pay. We took some bagels home and they had to be thrown away, all were burned and dried out. Just an all around horrible experience. I CANNOT IN GOOD FAITH RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I wouldn’t step foot in this place, there are plenty of other great places around. Disgusting food and filthy tables were a health hazard, too. None of staff wore gloves or hair covering. Watching them touch my food with God knows where their bare hands were made me cringe. STAY CLEAR! Also, prices are INSANE, $20.00 for a dozen bagels! Completely untrained staff. The two guys making the sandwiches had a hard time even reading the menu board and making sandwiches correctly. They didn’t know the difference between pastrami and corned beef, kept asking a women sitting in the dining room on a computer every detail on how to make the sandwich. My pastrami sandwich was made on stale bread using one heel. The pastrami itself tasted ok, but was not sliced right and just folded in half and thrown on the bread. There are better places...

A great place to grab carefully made food. Their bagels are the real deal! Corned beef is very good, as well as their hummus. I had "The Classic" bagel sandwich as well as "The Syrian", a hummus & veggie wrap sandwich. My only advice to the deli is to place their menu above the deli cases, rather than on the side wall... It's too hard to read. Also, more artwork or photography on the walls, it's very dull to look...
