Wish we could give extra stars! Wonderful BBQ spot with a large menu of classic Southern items and local PHX inspired fare. Super friendly and helpful staff answered all our questions and set us up with everything we needed. We got the onion rings as an appetizer with housemade ranch. Very light, crispy and flavorful. My husband ordered the Brontosaurus ribs - NOT an exaggeration - with the side salad and steak fries. I got the pulled pork platter with Mac n cheese and BBQ beans. Both meals came with warm rolls and cinnamon butter. The ribs were super meaty - he took half home - and perfectly cooked. The salad was crisp, fresh and flavorful. The pulled pork was tender and nicely sauced. The Mac n cheese was done right - homestyle with just the right amount of cheese. The beans were over the top!!! Spicy, sweet, hearty - what's not to like? The buns and cinnamon butter beat Texas Roadhouse hands down. Highly recommend this entire experience and suggest getting there early. We got there around 5 on a Wednesday and by the time we left it was filling up. Extra notes: televisions with a variety of sports in booths and all around the restaurant. Very patriotic decor with motorcycle parking out front. It ticks all the boxes.

Extremely disappointed. Seemed like everything was a bit of a scam, nothing KC about it. KC BBQ is all about dry rubbing before smoking and sauce during. All the meat was bland and rubbery, there was no hint of any kind of flavoring during smoking. Burnt ribs had nothing to do with "burned ribs" - see my photo. Seems like they cut off the tip of a brisket before smoking and dried it? Nothing "burned", no bark, no smokiness, no flavor, just bland beef-jerky. Costco's frozen burned ribs are way better. And there are many reviews about this and the management apologizes and nothing changes, that tells you something. At the end we were presented with a $3 non-cash charge, that again many reviews here complain about. To add insult to injury, the "suggested tip%" on the receipt was calculated on the amount of food+tax+the $3 non-cash fee, so they try to get you to throw in an extra $5 in tips if you don't take out a calculator and confirm. They have to know you don't do that, so it's another scam to get people in and pay more money than the food here is worth. The waitress was a nice young lady - only reason to leave a tip.

We just had dinner here! A friend recommended this place I am not a fan of BBQ too much specially with me prediabetic but we wanted to give it a try so we did! I was able to choose from the menu something that was not bad at all! I had the bone in chicken with today's vegetable which was asparagus and a side of coleslaw. My kids had chicken tenders with the fries and hubby ordered chicken club sandwich and we had the pork nachos for appetizer. We dont drink alcohol but I heard the server say they had happy hour for surten drinks. The server was very nice and patient since my kids were in sort of a 'mood'! He was attentive and to our surprise the place has live music on weekends! They had a good bit! I had a few steps with my daughters! Good family environment for the day hours at least! Place was clean, hostesses greeted us with a smile and said bye too!

Well, we were invited to go to Dillans for dinner for a friend's birthday dinner. When we arrived, we could see it was busy, but a lot of people were already eating, so we figured service and the length of time to get our dinner would not be bad. Well, here is what happened. We were seated and could see a large table beside us had already ordered, and shortly, later had their food. most of the tables around us also seemed to have their food. There was a table in front of us that was a 4 top. This table was full, and the people seemed to be fi ishing their food. So, since half of our partying 8 was there, they seated us, and then the wait began. We waited for our drinks, and then we waited some more. All of our party had arrived a d we waited a little longer. Then, the first round of drinks arrived, and the remaining members then ordered their drinks. The wait continued... Our waitress finally brought the remaining drinks and told us she was going to go and eat her tray down and be right back to take our order. Several minutes went by, and we saw our waitress taking an order at another table that had been seated long after we had. They also received their food long before we did. The waitress finally returned and took our order. Then it seemed love we waited forever again before she returned to even refill out drinks and it was not lkle we were watching her run all over the place she was completely missing in action. So, while watching and waiting, I noticed that the table that was in front of us had been seated and fed 2 times while we were waiting. When our food finally came, I went to dig in and went to put the butter and sour cream on my potato, and it was cold, so cold it would not even melt the butter they brought out and the butter was not that cold.. Next, I tried the smoked sausage and pulled chicken. Both were stone cold! My girlfriend also tried to dress her potato and had the same issue as well as her entire plate of food was also cold. Now, I would not be as upset it the place had been extremely busy, and our server was obviously extremely busy, but she was not. The other server in the area was out taking care of her tables, and her tables were turning, and our server was nowhere to be seen... I tried to get the attention of our server, and when we finally did, I told her our food was cold. She took it, and she she would have it reheated. We waited about 8 minutes and surprisingly our food came out and it was a little better b I t not hot llle you would have expected a fresh plate or even a microwaved plate to be. So y the time all if thus happened everyone else had eaten their food and were serving birthday cake. So, to make a long story short, we did not even eat our food. I spoke to the manager, who basically said he would take my girlfriemds food off the check, but he offered nothing else. I did not even get into the issues everyone else had with extremely poor service and warmish food. I did with the manager, but all he was willing to do was take one plate off the bill... We were not there looking or trying to get a free meal or meals. We wanted to go there and enjoy some good BBQ and a nice evening with friends and family. That did not happen this evening. After this horrible service and food, I would be hard-pressed to return. Good luck with your adventure here. We have been repeat customers here but after this night with poor service and even worse...

Let me state first that I reached out to Dillions privately first almost 2 weeks ago and never received a response.

I have eaten at Dillon’s on 3 separate occasions, but the last time I actually ordered BBQ. My first experience was a burger, second was nachos and both were good.

The last experience at Dillions was hands down the worst meal that my wife and I have ever had at any restaurant and I am not exaggerating. I rarely complain and almost never blast a restaurant online unless I am ignored, which I was.

I wasn’t looking for a refund or credit. I truly waned the managers/owners to be aware of the poor quality of food the kitchen manager and expo person sent out. My wife and I come from a restaurant background and try to do our best to be understanding of situations, staffing etc.

The beef brisket, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese I ordered was by far the worst meal I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were watery and likely instant. The mac and cheese also tasted like it came out of a box or bag. The brisket was in no way bbq brisket. It resembled a steamed pile of grey beef similar. It didn’t have any flavor of smoke and absolutely no bark. Having lived in Kansas City and Texas I am familiar with good brisket.

My wife order the fish tacos. The menu called them tilapia. I am not sure what fish they used, but I could smell the strong odor of fish coming from the plate when the server arrived. My wife took one bite and couldn’t eat more. She asked me to try it and it was a really bad cut of fish. Either it was spoiled or not tilapia.

The only item that we ate there that was good was a wedge salad that we shared.

2 entrees, 2 beers and 1 wedge salad came out to $100. You would have thought the server would have taken the entrees off since we left the majority of mine untouched and all of my wife’s meal. She did ask us if anything was wrong to which we replied, “the food was really bad”. I have never had this happen before. I didn’t ask to see a manager nor did she send one over. Probably an oversight on both parties, but I have never been in this situation before.

Either way, it’s sad because we like to support small businesses. I hope the leadership will read this and...

Growing up in Kansas City, on every bbq joint on both sides of the state line… I know a little bit about Kansas City style BBQ. Living in Texas where Brisket is king, but a different style of bbq cuts, I consider myself a bbq snob. Lol. Dillons menu is a lot broader than any traditional bbq restaurant in KC. I’ve been here twice during visits to family. This time I ordered the Burnt Ends, (made famous in Kansas City) and a lb of brisket, onion rings, beans, slaw, 5 layer chocolate cake and Apple Walnut cobbler. The Burnt Ends were lean and tender and the portion size was plenty. The beans were very good with a thick sauce base complimented with brisket pieces mixed in. The coleslaw is a heavier cut but the dressing was nice and creamy and just sweet enough! Their onion rings were fantastic and appeared to be hand cut and breaded. They were fried perfectly! The Brisket was truly KC style with a nice smoke ring and very lean, but moist and tender, which is hard to do considering the absence of any fat, which is where brisket gets its moisture from during the cook. (In Texas you must ask for lean or you will receive fatty meat, which they call “moist brisket) To-Go, they packed it in a quart plastic container half filled with juice which kept it from drying out leftovers for the next morning! Good job! Both desserts were amazing considering most folks don’t go to a smoke house for sweets! As a walk in customer on early Saturday evening, they prepared and packed my to-go order very quickly and the hostess went thru my complete order to assure everything correct and nothing was missing, which I appreciated as much as the quality of my food. Nothing like getting home with anticipation to dig in only to find a restaurant was careless and shorted you an item! Very pleased with this place! My only complaint, because I’m old school…. Keep your front end employees OFF their cell phones! I realize that’s the society we live in today, however, I don’t want to walk up to your counter and have to compete with an employees cell phone for my time...
