Epic Wings — Restaurant in Glendale

I loved this place while I was in San Diego and was so happy to see one open in Glendale. I have been a regular since they opened but over the past 6 months they have gone downhill considerably, to the point that I'm not sure I'll be back.

One visit, I had chicken that didn't seem cooked. The young gentleman that said he was the Manager argued with me that their food was never frozen so it was not possible that it wasn't cooked. I tried multiple times to explain and show him, until he finally said "fine, we will remake it if that will make you happy." Another visit, the sauce was cold and just poured on like they forgot it and didn't want to go to the trouble of remaking it. When I brought that up, the young lady told me "that's how we do it."

On December 31st, I went in with a BOGO coupon and the cashier did not apply it to the order. When I questioned it, she argued with me that she did, even when I asked her to show me on the receipt. Then the same Manager argued with me that since it said "valid until December 31st" it was no longer valid. Another patron had the same coupon and questioned it as well. The Manager was adamant that the coupon was expired, but finally corrected the charge.

The last time I went in, the cashier, who I have seen there before and is always EXTREMELY unprofessional, just said "what" when I came to the counter. I had to repeat the order multiple times. When I got home with our food, the entire order was wrong. I called and spoke to the Manager and was told "if you didn't check the order before you left, we can't do anything for you."

The service used to be great and their wings were my favorite. There has been a complete turnover in staff, and not only are they unprofessional, they are downright rude.

I am so disappointed and I hope the ownership will take action to correct these issues. Until then, I will not recommend Epic...

Epic Wings. We ordered here yesterday. A variety of wing flavors ranging from lemon pepper to the hot chicken tenders they offer. Now, given this is a "New" establishment in the community we wanted to give it a chance, Right. Ok... Now we ordered roughly around $60 to $65 in food. Send my son to pick up the call in order and they tell him 5 meals don't include drinks . ??? Really.. so you mean to tell me that all this chicken and bread you pushing uhhmm we gotta pay more for drinks when the pictures in the menus that said meals all have an ice cold drink in the side.. so my son comes home with the 5 meals and tells me. I called. The New Store on 95@ Camelback in Glendale. And the manger or someone saying they're the manger said. " Oh, Our meals don't include drinks those are extra"... ?? HOW DOES THAT WORK? NOT MIND YOU. THE WINGS ARE UNDER COOKED PLAIN CHICKEN. LEMON PEPPER TASTED LIKE PLAIN OVERCOOKED CHICKEN. THERE BREAD STICKS IWE DON'T KNOW DIDN'T TRY THEM .. THIS IS THE DESERT TOO HOT FOR ALL THAT BREAD.!! JUST SALT N PEPPER ON UNDER FRIED CHICKEN. NOW WHILE WE DID GET THE DRINKS THEY WERE THE MOST "EPIC" PART OF ALL THIS TO RINSE THAT BAD EXPERIENCE...

I love Epic Wings, in fact I crave it. HOWEVER, since this is NOT the first time this series of events has happened, I won't be coming back any longer. We arrived at about 2pm on 7-15. Two young guys (employees) were eating chips & definitely not in any hurry to take our order. After waiting for them to finish both of them went to the kitchen and started our order. Neither of them washed their hands, neither of them wore gloves of any kind and one of them wiped sweat from his face (I don't think the a/c was working very well as there was an oscillating fan in the dining area) with his bare hands and continued with our food preparation. Being completely grossed out, I couldn't watch him any longer and looked away. I was hoping that the heat of the grease would kill anything he had on his hands and transferred to my food. Once we got home and started to eat, ( I couldn't convince myself to eat my food, so I shared my boyfriend's) the chicken was still COLD in the middle, WTH??!!! There are some SERIOUS problems here and I am sooooo done !! I will be contacting the County Health Dept. next. There is absolutely no excuse...
