Pei Wei Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Glendale

Update: came here for dinner tonight. No tables were clean - had to clean the table ourselves. Received our food and and it was burned - they brought a new one and it was better. Watched as many people finished dinner and the tables were left dirty - no one was cleaning them off. It was super sad that this location has gone downhill so quickly. :(

We've been coming here occasionally since it opened. The most recent visit was typical of the service and food provided. We placed our order about an hour in advance via the app. We scheduled a time for pick up as we had a few things to do before we arrived. We arrived about 5 minutes before the scheduled time and gave our names. The lady behind the counter indicated it would be a bit longer as they were short-staffed & had a large number of orders. While we were waiting, a customer came in for her food and heard it would be another 15 minutes. She flew off the handle. Some dude who wasn't with her told her "It's only food - calm down". I felt sorry for the cashier as she was the brunt of the situation. After a 20+ minute wait, our food was ready.

We have been loyal customers of the Arrowhead Pei Wei for several years, but as of tonight we are through. I am tired of coming to dine in and being told....we have lots of online orders so it will be a wait for you have come to dine in. This has happened several times. Please decide if you are a dine in experience with carry out option. Or if you are catering to your carry out business only. Fine if it is carry out only.....just do it. Don't pretend you care about people dining in. My soup was cold, my wantons COLD. My main course was lost because they picked up my number ( your floor lead was a flake and had placed my order on the counter beside him; no attention to finding who ordered the meal) Please do not patronize me with "oh, this is not the way our staff usually responds" because it is the way you respond to your diners and carry outs...who have to wait constantly too!! Use Logic and decide what business you are in, and do it well. This has happened to us before and now I am tired of the treatment and disregard for your customers....Solve the problems. They tell you over and over in your reviews that the wait is too long, for both your type of diners. We are through even if you are close...I want to be treated as if you "want a dine in customer" in your establishment. Why do you continue to operate...

I used to stop in every time I was passing by because there’s no Pei Wei up north. I get the chicken lettuce wraps every time. I guess they changed their menu since my last visit and this visit. Now they have a small order and large order. I got the large order as the cashier says it’s the same size as the average order has always been. I received the same quarter wedge stack of lettuce. The lettuce wraps before they changed the menu I would run out of lettuce and eat the remaining few large bites of chicken with my fork. This order, post menu change; the large order literally gave me enough chicken to averagely full four leafs of lettuce. I don’t fill these things to the brim. I fill them with what I would think would be an average amount of meat like filling a taco. It’s not going to fall everywhere when I bite into it. I’d hate to see the small portion that’s now on the menu. None the less; I felt ripped off asked the manager if this was the large plate and not the small plate; he said yes and didn’t seem to give a damn. Oh and they skimped on the sauce only filling the cup 1/4 way up at best. Not sure if this place has new management or just started becoming scandalous recently. Try a different dish, skip the...
