Today is a sad day. For 19 years since I moved into this neighborhood I have been eating here. For 18 years I could come get a couple of slices and without a doubt the best you’d find anywhere in town. My last 6 trips have been nothing close to what I had become used to. And were so far from what I expected when I ordered. My baby sister worked here for 5 years through high school and college. It became the family restaurant to go for my family. But no one will go there now since the decline in food has been so bad. I was the last one holding on hoping for a something to get better and get back to what it once was.
Today showed it will never return.
I’m very specific in the way I like pizza. I don’t want a fresh pie straight out of the oven. I want slices. Specific a slice pizza that has cooled completely and then been topped and recooked before being served. This is the only way in my opinion to order and eat slices. The dough has a crispy and almost crunchy bite when it has been reheated. The cheeses flavor becomes completely unlocked when cooled and reheated. The crust is hard and yet fluffy on the inside. Exactly what to expect from a NY slice.
Today I arrived and saw what I expected to be what I would get. I saw a slice pie out with 4 slices and it had been cooled completely . Exactly what I want. I look around and see no one without a food in front of them in the restaurant. Now this is a lunch break. I have about 20-25 mins. So I get slices quite often because they fast and delicious. I ordered three slices of pepperoni and a soda. I sit down and await my food. Now twenty minutes has gone by I look at the time I have five mins left. I’m not going to have time for lunch now. I turn and see to front counted person and asked if they had put my order to a fresh slice pie that hadn’t cooked yet. And she said yes. I asked why? I don’t want a fresh pie. I wanted the reheated slices as for why I explained in the previous paragraphs. If I wanted a fresh pie for the price I paid for 3 slices with one topping and soda. I could get a small-medium fresh pie with pepperoni for the same price. But that’s not what I wanted. When I asked why I got the fresh pie and not the slices I was told “I didn’t know you wanted them” this is the same person behind the counter that I dealt with the last two times I visited rays pizza. The last two trips ended with me not ordering anything and leaving to choose somewhere else to eat because they did not have a slice pie ready that had been cooled off. And when I asked she told they only had a fresh pie in the oven which I declined and politely explained why I wouldn’t order (as I explained above) she was polite and I left. Fast forward back to today. I didn’t feel the need to specifically ask for reheated slices because there was half a pie cooled and resting in the window. So expected those to be where my slices came from. When I found out after asking that that not the case and my time for lunch had run out. I asked for a refund because I didn’t want a fresh pie. (As stated before I could have ordered a fresh pie with what I spent but that is not what I wanted ) As she started my refund my slices came out of the oven so I decided not to get a refund just to get the slices to go instead. I would eat then back at work. When I returned to work, I had 3 bites of a slice and couldn’t eat it. It was completely saturated with grease through and through and was soggy and under cooked. I threw away the slice I ate from and gave the other 2 slices to a coworker who ate about the same as I did and threw the remaining food in the trash as she also couldn’t get past the grease and sogginess. Unfortunately my mind has been made up. I repeated tried to give the new ownership the benefit of the doubt but have been failed the last 6 times I’ve been in. I didn’t get into the first 3 visits of the last 6 as they are all similar. As I started off today is a sad sad day as I can no longer give the benefit of the doubt and hope that the quality and attention to detail would eventually...
Read moreI can give this place ZERO stars I would. I ordered an extra Large Pepperoni and 20 wings. I understand Pepperoni is greasey but the pizza is literally the grossest greasiest pizza I have ever ordered. The wings had a good flavor but were very dry even though we ordered sloppy. We ate two slices and could not eat any more becase of how greasey it was. I called and asked to speak to a manager and an Italian guy I'd guess is the owner stated he didn't do refunds even though I offered to bring the pizza back and even pay for the two slices we ate. He stated he doesn't do refund or remakes but I'd being "nice" and will give me a cheese pizza for next time. I asked him again if I can bring the pizza back so he can see that we did not eat it. He said no. I said ok since we ordered and payed for one topping can I atleast get a pineapple pizza next time. He stated , " no you are getting enough, I'm being nice and that is it before I change my mind" his attitude was as nasty as the pizza. I couldn't believe the way He treated me.. I really don't know how they have been open this long if this is how he treats his paying customers.. obviously he needs the money more than I do so he can keep it along with his nasty food. OK im done. Lol just wanted to share my "NICE" experience.
I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND SANTISI BROTHERS WINGS THEY SH*T ON THIS PLACE. ESPECIALLY THE...

Brought my wife and daughter, after reading the favorable reviews here, and let the server know we were there for our first time. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza (I'll take the blame for that), but then we were served a cheese pizza 10 minutes later. I'm usually pretty lenient about just eating what I'm served even if it's wrong, as long as it looks appealing, but I'll say of all pizzas, cheese? C'mon. I politely asked if they would take it back and bring us Hawaiian pizza. To remedy the error, they grabbed a handful of canned pineapple and cold Canadian bacon, decorated the already-made cheese pizza, threw it back into the oven for a minute or two to ensure the crust was rock solid, and brought it back to us a few minutes later. This was easily the worst pizza either of us had ever eaten, and I would have much rather had a $5 hot-and-ready. We snapped a picture of the disaster and, unable to finish a single slice, walked out $16 in the hole.
Do I think it's objective to rate a place on one experience? Not particularly. Will I ever come back here? Probably not. Will I retell this tragedy every time local pizza places comes up in...
