Tl;dr GET THE BANANA BREAD PUDDING IT’S SOOOOOO GOOD!!! At first glance, you can tell this used to be a diner, and it’s been converted into a fine dining restaurant. I’m not normally one to applaud modern design, but the decor and atmosphere is quite tasteful, and it still makes you feel cozy. There was a mix of what sounded like club/house remixes of pop songs, which I personally enjoyed a lot. The staff were SO friendly and accommodating to my time crunch, as well. Big shout out to the staff. Y’all rule :] I started with a Geisha and was disappointed to see the martini glass not topped off. That said, this is a rather large glass, and the drink itself is gorgeous. I suppose if I’m going to be paying LA prices for drinks, I’d want it to be worth it, and this was not particularly strong, which is expected of martinis. The violets are a nice touch, though, and I encourage anyone reading this to actually eat them. They’re a lovely accompaniment to the drink, which was still tasty. My advice? Try it on an empty stomach. I’m a sucker for pesto, so I ordered the pesto penne. Its presentation was quite beautiful! And the pesto was creamy and delicious. I added shrimp which was a great choice. The portion size is quite generous (I am a small person, though, and perhaps someone with a more average appetite would find this to be just the right amount), and I highly recommend dipping your toasted, buttery, pesto bread slices into the yummy cream at the bottom. This pesto in particular is creamier than I’m used to, but there’s not so much sauce that the penne is swimming in it, if that makes sense. The bread is the perfect amount to absorb the extras. About the dessert… I got the banana bread pudding. OH. MY GOD. IT IS HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH!!!! You should absolutely visit this restaurant SPECIFICALLY for the dessert. It comes FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN with yummy whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla icing. It’s also swimming in some more delicious banana flavored cream, too. I’ve always been okay with bread pudding. Usually there’s many other desserts I would prefer to try instead of bread pudding. But wow, BANANA bread pudding??? In my opinion that’s the way you make bread pudding go from a ā€œmehā€ dessert to an ā€œAMAZINGā€ dessert. Hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had at a restaurant. Wow wow wow. Will definitely be coming back for more banana bread pudding!!

My wife and I had never been here, so we decided to try it out, but we were a little wary because they have a %20 gratuity for tables of 5 or more written on their website. I can tell you from 12 years of combined restaurant experience between my wife and I, that whenever the gratuity is guaranteed, the server is usually so so because he/she knows they dont need to work for it., so we went in keeping that in mind. The place is contemporary with a simple look and its pretty easy to find. We waited for a little bit then were seated and when our server came to our table he was very friendly. Although he was friendly he made my aunt repeat her order twice and she only ordered one thing, we were all wondering what he was writing while she made her order. It may not be the servers fault but, i am of the opinion that all drinks should arrive at the same time, usually if they arrive separate it's because somebody forgot something (wine should be poured when cocktails are ready to go).The main thing that annoyed me a little is that we made a reservation specifying that it was for a birthday and my wife ended being the o ly one without a plate, and what was worse is that we had all been half way through our food before the server came to check on us. A server that was on top of things would have taken a glance at the table when the runner was leaving the kitchen to count the plates and check everything was good (we also would number the positions of the customers so the runners didnt need to auction plates when they arrive at the table). After that, our server disappeared, ad if closing out for ending his shift. The busser was the one to ask us if we needed the check, and 10 minutes later he was the same one to pick the check up and take it to the server. The busser of my table was really on top of his game, he noticed all this while cleaning tables full of stuff. Anyway, we left with no trace of a birthday on the table and I ended up paying a 20% gratuity reluctantly. The place looks great, the food is pretty good, maybe a little pricey, and we were a little unlucky with our server today.

FOOD: Me and my mom went today for dinner after church. I had the Texas Style Ribs and my mom had the Pan Seared Salmon. We also had the Wagyu Beef Sliders. The ribs were phenomenal! Tender-juicy, falls off the bone. The barbecue sauce is not over powering. The garlic mash was good, not bland but could use a little bit more seasoning. Salmon was the same, amazing! Seasoned perfectly! Potatoes and spinach were good. If it was quinoa and brown rice or cauliflower rice it would've been the bomb (just suggesting). The sliders were great! Fresh from the jar pickles (I would know cause I love pickles). The burger sauce was delicious, matches the caramelized onions. SERVICE: Food runners give such vibrant vibes when serving and "BRYCE" WAS F*CK*NG AWESOME! ....PERIOD! ATMOSPHERE: This place has a lot of potential. I love the interior which it gives a modern cafe/diner vibes. From floor to ceiling, from the view of the kitchen to the restrooms, patio and inside seating, very well done. My only comment about this place is that this place serves hookah after 5pm. Some customers may come here and just to enjoy food/drinks and not want to be in the same room/area with the smoke. In this time of the year where the heat is already abusive. Restaurants like this who have patio/outside seating should have sufficient shade and ventilation so customers can be arranged if they want to have hookah or just to dine. Love this place! Would definitely recommend and come back for more! Next target would be brunch😁

I have known this restaurant for several years and even visited it often, but that was several years ago! And this restaurant somehow suited my taste! And today, I decided to have dinner there! I ordered salmon fish with potatoes, Caesar salad, French soup and two pieces of bread! It seems my order was small! So... They brought me the salad almost immediately, and then the French soup arrived! After waiting about ten to fifteen minutes, I began my meal! I ate a little and began to wait for my fish, periodically sipping the soup! Somewhere in fifteen to twenty minutes they brought me the fish, that very salmon! And what a coincidence: before they brought me the fish, I scooped up another spoonful of soup and saw a hair hanging from the spoon and just at that moment the waiter brought my fish and I showed him, please look at this! And he said to me, ā€œYes, that’s cheese hanging down!ā€))) And I said to him, ā€œNO, THIS IS NOT CHEESE, BUT A HAIR!!!ā€ And I demonstratively take this hair with my fingers and show it to him! The waiter decided to make sure that this was really the case, he also decided to touch this hair and he realized that it was definitely not cheese, but a real hair! In the end, I was upset! The soup was taken away! Then, I waited another ten minutes and decided to call the supervisor! And when he came up to me, he immediately apologized for the misunderstanding with the soup! He said that this hair was white, of some blonde!))) I started laughing!)) I replied that it was terrible! And he had nothing else to add! And then I tell him about the bread that I ordered at the very beginning and that no one has brought it to me yet and I repeated the word ā€œterribleā€ again! After all, this is really true! And the supervisor had to apologize to me again! He left and a couple of minutes later personally brought me two pieces of bread! He put them on the table and without looking me in the eye, left my table! About fifteen minutes later, the same waiter who took my order came up to me and asked: Is everything okay with you now? To which I answered: Yes, everything is okay! Then he left without apologizing for forgetting about my bread! Friends, do you see? How little things change absolutely the entire idea of the picture of what is happening "Now"! But this is service and it should be service as it should be! And the waiter could have earned a tip! But his slight absent-mindedness in the form of the word "FORGOTTEN" did not allow him to go home with a smile and a little joy in his pocket! Service is always and everywhere increased attention with a clear concentration of your work!!! That's such a short story, friends! The food in this restaurant was delicious and I really liked it, but I have no desire to come to this...
