I come to Glenwood every month or two for work and Iâve driven by this spot countless times and today I told myself Iâm going to actually go thereâŚso glad I finally did!!! Got a double elk burger and onion rings, first thing you notice is the sheer weight of the burger which is a great sign! It certainly looks as good in person as the other pictures in their google reviews, another great sign! The flavor was FANTASTIC definitely one of the best burgers Iâve ever had, and the meat was prepared perfectly which is impressive as Elk is leaner than beef itâs easy to cook out the flavor but these guys nailed it. Onion rings were also awesome, staff was great too I did the typical first time tourist mistake and didnât pull all the way forward as there are multiple menu/speaker boxes in the drive through line you pull up to the car in front of you instead of stopping at the first one and when the lady asked me to pull forward to keep the space behind me open I realized they probably have to tell people that 100 times a day and yet she was still pleasant in her tone. If I were asked to pick the one thing that is ânegativeâ about this place is that it is a bit on the expensive side, however that can be said for literally everything these days and when you realize that buffalo and especially Elk are much more expensive for the restaurant to source/ship/process it makes sense. Nothing on my burger was a âcheapâ ingredient, like you can tell when your burger had the cheap cheese this is not one of those burgers or burger places. So glad I went by today as I now have a new favorite place for lunch/dinner when...
Read moreGreat tasting food, very poor customer service : / Wish I had a better review : / We were gifted 2 burgers through Locals Supporting Locals and decided to use the digital vouchers for a portion of our family Sunday lunch. We were super excited to try out this well woken off burger joint! Outside of the 2 free burger vouchers, we purchased some soft drinks, an over priced corn dog for our son, and a $9 single burger only cheese for our young daughter.. fries to split. Happily paid and pulled into a parking spot very ready to eat this much anticipated meal! Open the bag to find that there were only 2 burgers, a corn dog and large fry - our daughters plain cheese burger was missing. No big deal right? Just take our receipt up to the window and kindly let them know we were missing that part of our order, right? Wrong. The receipt only prints off the total purchase price (not our fault they don't produce detailed receipts that don't breakdown each item in the order) and despite the lady seeing us literally moments before in the drive-thru, they decided it best to charge us another $9 for a SINGLE burger with a SINGLE piece of cheese. Blows my mind. I can get twice the burger in a meal for that price and with MUCH BETTER customer service 30 seconds down the road. Let...
Read moreHands down the worst drive thru experience of my entire life. Paid for food and proceeded to watch employees help the next 5 people in restaurant without acknowledging my presence at all. Waited 20 minutes AFTER paying, when finally had to knock on the window to get someone's attention. One kid admitted he forgot about us even being there. The other kid tried to blame the wait on onion rings waiting to cook. I told him 20 minutes for two burgers and a small onion ring was an absolute joke. I said forget the onion rings and give me my two burgers and two Cokes. The kid was quick to get defensive reminding me that I didn't order two Cokes. So conveniently they forgot about me being in the drive thru lane, yet remembered what I ordered. I said refund the onion rings and just give me the two burgers. He said we'll refund you and shut the window on me. I waited until a cook had to come out of the kitchen to give me my food. The other kid clearly didn't want to give it to me. He even grabbed the bag and tried going to the back (I assume to tamper with it) before I finally got the hell out of there. 2 mediocre burgers for $25. Worst place I've ever been to. With kids with zero manners or concept of business...
