Elsie's Burgers and Shakes — Restaurant in Gloucester City

I have to change my review. We have been here 3 times now and the only time it was good was the first time. Last time the burgers were so dry and overdone it was inedible. My turkey club had almost no turkey in it. Tonight...the burgers were worse than last time. The mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting. Dry noodles all around the side and what looks like sliced cheese under panto in the middle. We are sorry to say we won't be back. We took pictures and will be adding to yelp.

Love love love! We went tonight and spent about 70ish. Got 2 double cheeseburgers, 2 milkshakes, cheese fries, and some candy. These burgers are huge and delicious! Husband got the mac and cheese one and I got the regular. The portions are great. Reminds me of 6 years ago when things were good lol milkshakes were good. I didnt love mine but I think I should have gotten the strawberry haha We will definitely become regulars. Yum! Staff was super friendly and reminded me growing up in gloucester. Just all around...

Great food. Great service. Cute, clean place! I Have ordered here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Last time I ordered I HAD to get the "dont be cheesy" burger after I read the description. Its 2 burgers with 2 grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun, it was amazing. I really liked their fries too very simple very good. I have gotten milkshakes as well and their smores ice cream is by far the best smores Ice cream I think I've ever had. Tried a few of their baked goods as well. U definitely need to try the oatmeal cookies and the banana nut bread👌. Prices...

I will admit, I thought I had walked into the wrong place when I opened the door- it has the vibes of an old school ice cream parlor with a big counter and giant jars of candy on the wall. Not a place you would expect to get a burger! But we were all impressed when our food came out about 10 minutes after ordering.
