This was my first and last trip there. Virtually no craft beer selection. While I am not a beer snob, it would be nice to have a few options when I want something different. The waitress was very pretty and very friendly. That's about the only thing good I can say. We get seated and handed menu's, but it wasn't till 5 minutes later till she actually takes our drink orders. This is not even acceptable in restaurants, let alone a bar where you are there to drink. It was all you can eat wing night, which both me and my girl ordered. I don't understand while the first initial order took so long and yet the second round was less than two minutes? Which she did mention that would happen, but not sure why there's such a time discrepancy when you are getting the same thing. I only order the wings because I honestly didn't trust anything else to be good. When I got my second round, I asked for more blue cheese dressing. She comes back and asks me if I want another drink. Brings back the drink immediately and asks if the wings are hot enough and if I wanted a side of hot sauce. I said yes to the hot sauce. I was about 3/4 through my plate of wings before either arrived. Apparently the blue cheese is extra and is not mentioned on the menu or by the waitress. After we turned down any more drinks and were clearly finished with our meals, another 5-10 minutes pass before getting our bill. Once again, she was nice and friendly, but slow.
The inside is surprisingly nicer than the outside, but not by much. Lot's of TV's and the furniture is reasonably modern. It's overall appearance rings true to itself, dive bar. It's a liqueur store / bar combo which at the spot we were siting at, could actually stare into the store because of big bay door that was wide open. At one point she joked that we should just go in there and buy a beer and bring it to the bar where it would have been quicker. The patrons were in their 40 - 60s. Even I felt young being there.
I saw that most of the reviews are from years ago. Maybe there was some glory days, but those days seem to...
Read moreShort black haired mowhawk lady said you need two forms of ids to order alcohol lol. im 24 yos and its my bday so we decided after a night out to stop by. i have a valid state id but i need a drivers license according to her? never heard of such a thing considering i went to many places who have never had an issue with a valid state id. she then proceeded to trash talk the paying customers vulgarly who i was with who were telling her the law after pulling it up online& then continued laughing amongst the 60 yo+ crowd. dont go here unless you have ur 6 points of id needed for the dmv, lol. did notice when we first came in she was giving us dirty looks (my sister and i) but was seemingly ok with the guys we were w. she also served my boyfriend who has an expired vertical license but not me who is a few months older w a valid id- what a joke! my family’s been here many times, including my 21 yo sister who also only has an id and has never had an issue with any other bartender before. you just lost a ton of loyal customers. Only go here if ur White, 60+ yo ,like staring down people for no reason, dont shower & and enjoy sitting in awkward silence. To the owners- if you want to keep business , she is obviously picking and choosing who she wants to serve, including serving those w expired licenses but not thoses w valid state issued ids. Absolutely weird experience & will warn others about that...
Read moreWent to Sam’s to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I saw two empty seats and sat down the first thing I notice is the odd stares from everyone including the bartenders. I heard someone shout the door is that way. The bartenders approach me and said can I help you with something. I said I’d like to order some food and drinks. The bartender then went on to say that we had to move our seats because someone else was sitting there. I said there’s nobody here when we arrived so id like to order from where I’m at. She said I’m not serving you if you don’t move your seat and walked away. I never been so disrespected in my life nor have I ever heard of a bartender saving a seat for someone outside the bar. We were told that she was saving the seat for another woman who was outside having a drink however the sign on the door says they don’t allow outside drinks. I totally felt racially...
