My experience at Anthony's wasn't very pleasing today. The staff was friendly but they didn't display good hygiene and I didn't see any of the cooks wearing gloves. My experience started with ordering my food at the counter then taking my daughter to the restroom where there was an employee from Anthony's and she rushed out of the stall and bathroom without washing her hands. Then I returned to the lobby to see her walking around the kitchen eating food, then she grabbed a brown bag of food placing it one the pizza prep table where are the Cook had just made my pizza and began making a plate of food from the bag with one hand and eating pizza in the other, then she moves to the front at the cashier's station still eating pizza right in front of us we were sitting at the table the had a view to the entire kitchen. She then returns to the pizza prep station and was eating over the coolers that hold the toppings and the area where the pizza is made. It was completely repulsive watching her eat over the place that the pizza is made knowing crumbs are likely falling from her food, complete health code violation. They weren't even busy so she could have sat down an ate her food. Then at the food was cooking every other employee was on their phones standing around rather than cleaning the areas in the kitchen and the the cook who made my pizza picks his nose right in front of our table then goes to the fountain drink and filled his cup. No one washed their hands and handled the food and didn't have gloves on. I completely lost my appetite and felt so unsettled about whether or not the kitchen was clean and the people making the food. I wanted to leave and contemplated asking for a refund but I let it go knowing she didn't make my pizza and that maybe it would be alright. I really didn't want to cause problems with the situation but I couldn't get it off her money entire way thinking about bringing the pizza back but I didn't. I brought the pizza and mozzarella sticks home to my family and it was good except the mozz sticks were awful but I couldn't get all of the things I saw off my mind. It ruined my appetite and this needs to...
Read moreSo this is my second time in there. The both times the pizza wasok. So they advertise aspet Friendly's I will say it again. Advertise as pet friendly.. I b have a very well behaved dog. The first was no problem went in there. I even said. I saw online that this place was pet friendly. He looked at the size of my dog I immediately said I plan on eating outside he said ok no problem go in there today. And I am instantly asked in a sharp and nasty tone is your dog a service animal.. I said no but you advertise as pet friendly and I have been in Here before with him and there was no issue. I said I' planned to order and eat outside.i paid tipped got my drink my dog was literally sitting staying still when he demanded and that I go outside and wait. I told him you shouldn't advertise as a pet friendly establishment and act the way.then another guy came out and basically through the pizza box at me. No napkins no condiments no thank you. He said they have signage everywhere service animals only.. not true there is only one sign that says it. A very small one on the patio. To the owners it doesn't matter how good your food is. When your service is rude and argumentative. The food tastes bad. To the young man at the counter you need to know this in your life its actually illegal to ask if a dog is a service animal or not. People have privacy rights.. consid we ring how much of a dog community Golden is. You all need to step up and change the attitude because it Al's Ways seems to be...
Read morePizza was not very good, didn’t try the pasta but it just felt cheap- it was pretty cheap though so there’s that going for Anthony’s. All toppings are extra, ranch is extra, soda machine is broken at the time of this review so drinks are in a can. Food could be considered decent for a Mine’s student on a budget but if that’s you then you’re probably better off with DiGiorno.
Indoors is hot, dirty- with that kind of chucky-cheese-everything-is-greasy feel. Sunken leather booths and sparse tables for such a large space, concrete floors- the space feels unfinished. Bathrooms are shared with a bunch of offices so you have to leave the restaurant to use them- not convenient or tidy but at least they don’t make you ask for a key.
Outdoors is exposed to the sun, purely paved with no landscaping- which wouldn’t be the end of the world on a cloudy day. On a hot day there is no comfortable place to be at Anthony’s.
Place is run by a bunch of young guys, friendly enough but you’ll be listening to their music and antics from the kitchen- which wouldn’t be a big deal if the food they made was worth eating. It’s not though.
Overall this place is pretty bad, but for a college student with your homies working here it might be a cool cheap place to get dinner with...
