You know, idk why I had such high hopes for this place. I watched them create this restaurant since its inception, and I never came until today—thanksgiving. As an indigenous individual I felt it would be good to support other indigenous folk.
I was wrong. The food here was strange. The wings & naan came out much faster than the momos, even though I ordered momos first. That to me implies it was already made, but even then the momos took longer than average to come out.
The garlic naan looked more like a pizza than a naan. The chicken momos had no real chicken taste. How does chicken even look like that? What is it really? The chicken wings they gave me were low quality where the bones broke in half with no effort as if they were left over for God knows how long and God knows what was in that sauce they put on them. Absolutely disgusting, and extremely messy. Tyson wing in the freezer section is higher quality I promise and that is sadddddddddd.
Even the Chai was not worth drinking another.
Overall I am extremely unhappy with this place and I understand why it is completely empty at 7pm in a city of a diverse culture of students and others. Step up your game. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT India’s best. More like India’s worst. Maybe change the name of the restaurant and be honest with your selves. That is my opinion. I have literally never had bad Indian food in my life until today. Zero...
Read moreBrand new Indian restaurant/grill/bar space in Golden. They did a nice job renovating with lovely decor, comfortable booths, cloth napkins, and a bar area in the back. Very clean inside, friendly staff, prompt service. A nice selection of vegan/vegetarian and meat based predominantly Indian, also Thai and Chinese inspired dishes. They also do take out.
We ordered mango lassi, chicken biryani/raita, Kerala chicken curry and jasmine rice, and roti. The side order of rice, vegetables, etc are ordered separately from the entree. We specified medium spice (first time there) and it was a spice level that the average American would probably eat. If you are accustomed to authentic Indian I would order spicy (I will next time).
The chicken was very tender, good quality meat. I have to say this Indian restaurant has the best roti I've tasted in a while. And the mango lassi was super smooth and creamy. There was enough food to split these selections between two of us and have plenty to bring home. I feel it was a good value.
So if it is too hot to cook, I'd recommend take...
Read moreI've visited this Indian restaurant in multiple times now, and each experience has been fantastic! From when you walk in, the modern and sleek décor creates a cool vibe, with the low music volume allowing for easy conversation. The seating is comfortable, and the dining experience has always been a pleasant one.
The food is consistently delicious. I’ve tried several dishes on the menu, including the saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, samosas, naan, curries, and more. Each dish has been excellent, with rich flavors and terrific seasoning.
The service is always top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. The portions are generous, and I appreciate that rice is not automatically included with the entrées. For me, the ratio of one order of rice per two entrees works perfectly, and the combined price of entrée plus rice is competitive with other places.
Overall, if you're a fan of well-spiced, fresh food with nice portion sizes and a chill atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit. It has quickly become one of our top places to eat in Golden....
