I won't drop another dime at this Sonic. It's bad enough that it's one of the few left on the planet without a drive-thru. The service is ridiculously slow, the employees spend way too much time with their friends hanging out, smoking and cursing, or sitting in their cars blasting music. With this level of incompetence, I don’t trust that my food will be safe to eat. I know it can be tough to find decent employees at a fast food joint, but wow. I assume Josh is the manager, and that's likely where the trouble begins. I’ve been going to this location for over a year and I don’t think I’ve gotten a smile or a kind word from him yet. To make matters much worse, I recently pulled up to a stall to get my drink that I ordered on the Sonic app, and even though I was the only customer, it took forever. Why? Because the one guy inside the restaurant was busy cleaning something, and Josh was standing out front by the walk-up kiosks smoking a cigarette. (NEVER a good look for a restaurant!) Even though he saw me pull up, knowing I order the same thing every morning, and even though the other employee was engaged elsewhere, he kept smoking. I'm not talking the last few puffs, I mean, he smoked the whole thing, then walked in and made my drink WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS!!! He was in plain view and couldn't care less. Gross! (my fiancé recently related this in an online review as happening to her, but it actually happened to me.) A visit to this location last week was the final straw. I ordered through the app as usual, but after 12 minutes and no response to the call button, I flagged down an employee. He retrieved my drink and handed it to me, but something was amiss. I took off the lid and the Route-44 cup was only about 2/3rds full. The kid grabbed it and made another one, but it was Coke, not diet Coke like I ordered. My gal had to get to work, so we just left in disgust and I threw it away. I'm done with this location. It WAS my daily (sometimes twice-daily) drink stop and frequent snack fix, but no more. If I'm near a different Sonic, I'll stop for a drink to use what’s left in my app account, but from now on I'll just go elsewhere. Read moreOh boy, where do I even start with Sonic? I mean, the food is usually decent, but sometimes you just can't help but feel like you've been shortchanged. My son and I swung by the drive-thru for some of their famous blasts the other day, and let's just say we were left feeling a little sour (pun intended).
First off, we ordered our blasts both got the Reese peanut butter cup and they both came only 3/4 of the way full.
The thing is, this isn't the first time we've felt like we're getting shortchanged at Sonic. It's becoming a bit of a trend at this location, if you catch my drift. So, in our frustration, we decided to ask the poor worker at the window what the deal was. And wouldn't you believe it, they let slip that management had instructed them to skimp on the product to boost profits. I mean, come on! Is this the kind of shake-down we should expect from a trusted fast food joint? I think not!
Let's be real here, Sonic. We come for the good food and the fun vibes, not for a lesson in corporate greed. We want our shakes to be thick, creamy, and delicious – not an exercise in finding the missing milkshake. I'm all for saving a buck, but don't mess with a person's dessert, you know what I mean?
So, until Sonic decides to give us the full shake experience we deserve, I might just have to start bringing my own blender to the drive-thru. And that's a milkshake you'll definitely want to...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. Went for a quick sweet run, ended up going through the drive thru as no one was in the line. First thing I noticed was the menu they have posted had NONE of their slushes, ice cream, shakes etc. posted on it, so I had to google the menu to see what we wanted. I was only two things in out of my four things we were getting and was asked if I was done, I said no yet I was given a total and told to come forward, I pulled up to the window and was “greeted” by a middle aged man and I informed him we were not done ordering when they cut me off mid order and I needed two more things, he was visibly annoyed at this request and from then on our our whole interaction with him he was rude, and visibly was annoyed that we were even there, cut me off talking multiple times as well, he handed me three of my items and walked off (I assumed he was making the ice cream cone) but the cone was sitting right on the counter where I could see it- I waited 5 minutes watching this cone melt all while I was trying to get his attention- he made eye contact with me multiple different times and continued to ignore me even after waving at him, I finally flagged down another employee and they handed me my melted cone. No offer to make a new not melted cone or even a napkin.
