Choosing The Rose for our wedding venue was the best decision EVER. We had our dream wedding thanks to Patricia and The Rose. It was truly the best night of our lives. From the first day we signed the contract, Patricia was amazing, supportive, and very communicative. It took SO much of the stress out of the planning process just knowing we had Patricia’s expertise and support. She is very organized and experienced, and she helped make the day/night run smoothly. Having her as a part of the package when you sign on with The Rose is INVALUABLE!! Patricia alone deserves 5 stars!!! Another huge selling point for us was having things included - the food, drinks, tables, chairs, linens, and flatware come from The Rose, so all you have to worry about coordinating yourself is DJ/band, photographer/videographer, and decor. We kept our decor minimal, so all we had to worry about vendor-wise was DJ and photographer, which made it much less stressful for us than other weddings where the people getting married have to coordinate a million vendors. We also loved the space itself. We kept our decorations pretty minimal to save money and effort and the space still looked gorgeous. The exposed brick and vaulted ceilings are amazing. And when you put candles on the tables/booths, it spruces up the space SO MUCH. We used a wooden arbor as our backdrop on the stage, and while I’ll admit it’s not the prettiest ceremony backdrop ever, it’s worth it to have everything else The Rose offers. (You can also get curtains/more stage decor for the ceremony if you want, we just didn’t want to spend the extra money.) The sound/acoustics in the venue are AMAZING. They host concerts so the stage would be great for a band, but we had a DJ (Ethan from Elite Entertainment), and it was incredible. Our dance floor was lively the whole night and multiple guests said it felt/looked like a club (in a good way, LOL). It was exactly the upbeat/happy/fun party vibe we wanted for the dancing portion of the night. Also, the bartenders were amazing, and the service was VERY fast. We had a 160-person wedding and people never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a drink. We really appreciated the great bar service. We paid the extra $ to have the extra State Room bar upstairs during cocktail hour and dinner, and it was definitely worth it, especially for the size of our wedding. Lastly, we were very happy with the food. SO many of our guests complimented the food during and after the wedding. The plated meals and appetizers were all amazing. I also heard the desserts and late-night foods were very good, but I didn’t try any because I was busy dancing :) Overall, the ambiance and vibe of the venue was immaculate. It’s hard to explain, but the vibes were just soooo gooood and the space was so fun! Also, having our names on the marquee was a fun addition that everyone loved and took photos under. The ONLY "cons" are that it’s not the prettiest backdrop for a ceremony (we got married on the stage) and the lighting can be difficult for photographers so just make sure you communicate with your photographer about the lighting and make sure they are comfortable shooting in a dark space. Our guests still have not stopped raving about how amazing the wedding was, and it was the wedding of our dreams. We’re so glad we chose The Rose and not a venue in the mountains. Most of our guests stayed at either The Golden Hotel, The Table Mountain Inn or airbnbs in Golden, so our guests got to enjoy Golden the whole weekend, which was amazing because most people came from out of town. Cannot recommend this venue enough!!!!!!!!

Getting married at The Rose was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking.. it has so much history, character, and charm. It’s not just a place to host a wedding, it’s an experience. Many of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how unique and stunning the setting was, and how perfectly located it is. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the kind of place where memories live forever. The staff made the entire experience seamless. Everyone was kind, attentive, and on top of everything from the very beginning. We chose the Mexican buffet for dinner, and it was absolutely phenomenal.. our guests raved about it all night long. The bar service was also outstanding. Every bartender went above and beyond, keeping drinks full and energy high throughout the entire night. But as incredible as the venue and staff were, the absolute best part of our entire experience was Patrica. I don’t even know if words can do justice to who she is and what she did for us. I have never met someone so hardworking, caring, and genuinely passionate about their work. Her communication is extraordinary.. she doesn’t just keep you in the loop, she makes you feel completely supported and understood every step of the way. From day one, Patricia was there for us in every single detail: walkthroughs, tastings, worksheets, endless questions.. you name it, she handled it with grace and precision. She is incredibly detailed and organized, and because of her, we never once felt the “wedding stress” that everyone warns you about. She made planning feel easy, enjoyable, and even fun. By the month of our wedding, we literally had nothing left to do, because Patricia had made sure everything was already taken care of. That sense of calm she gave us was priceless. Our family and wedding party were blown away at the rehearsal, we spent the whole night talking about how impressed we were with Patricia. And when the wedding day came, it was effortless. We didn’t worry about a single thing. Even our DJ and photographer kept telling us how incredible Patricia was and how much easier she made things for them too. She not only ensured our vision came to life, she made the entire day flow beautifully for everyone involved. Patricia is so much more than a coordinator or a vendor to us.. she has truly become a friend. We are endlessly grateful for her and everything she has done. It’s honestly bittersweet because while we’re so thankful, we know we will miss her deeply. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Patricia, for making our wedding not only beautiful but also stress-free and full of joy. You are truly one of a kind, and we will never forget everything you did for us.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Buffalo Rose event center with the help of Patricia Zutman and All Four Seasons Events planning (which we got courtesy of booking with the Buffalo Rose). We could not have been happier with how the wedding celebration turned out. Patricia was so easy to work with and we loved how transparent all the pricing and expectations were through her and the Buffalo Rose. Planning and celebrating a wedding during COVID craziness has been so challenging-- but Patricia was an excellent guide through the chaos. She always kept us up to date with all the rules and regulations and updated us about timelines and pricing should we choose to postpone and re-schedule. We ended up forging ahead and never did try to reschedule; and were fortunate enough to have all of our desired guests be a part of our celebration. The Buffalo Rose with All Four Seasons Events was able to accommodate almost everything, and provide recommendations for things they did not provide (Such as decorations, cakes, transportation etc.) Buffalo Rose catered the food for the event- which turned out delicious. They were also able to coordinate our other vendors (lighting and drapery, floral, cake etc.) to ensure everything was set up and taken down smoothly. Patricia did an excellent job guiding my husband and I through the wedding planning process and the day of made sure we kept our wedding on schedule to make sure that we had time for all the planned special moments. The only thing we would advise other couples to keep in mind when planning concerned the food. While it did turn out delicious, it was not the same as when we had our tasting... My husband and I had been blown away when we had our tasting at how fresh and well prepared all the food had been. Obviously cooking 4 portions of food to taste is different than preparing enough for a group of 140. So we were a little disappointed the food was not as good and fresh as it had been when we had our tasting. However, our guests still enjoyed everything and we wouldn't have done anything differently in the end. All in all would highly recommend. Thank you to the Buffalo Rose and Patricia, with All Four Seasons Events for helping make our day so magical. It was a celebration we and our guests will always remember.

*Beautiful Venue, Poor Communication, Poor Vegan/GF Food, Poor Issue Resolution I originally had a 3 page review typed up, but have decided to summarize. The Venue & Venue Coordinator: The venue is beautiful, clean and the service staff is wonderful. However, don’t hire The Rose if you expect to feel warm and fuzzies and feel like a special client while planning any special event, or if you’re trying to use the space for the music/entertainment aspect with ease or if you are vegan or plant-based. We had a poor experience communicating with the venue coordinator. She’s short, with a rude tone that was very defensive. She doesn’t seem to want to help with anything outside of her traditional wedding planning box to help make our day any easier. The Music/Entertainment Production: Arranging set up and walk-through for the music production side of things was not included in the additional $500+ fee for hiring them. If you wanted to discuss what they were going to actually be doing day of it would cost an additional $50/hour for a walk through. They don’t allow for any leeway when it comes to set up and tear down unless you pay more money (which we were told is because of the lack of out of the box thinking and help from the venue coordinator). However, the sound and lighting team was amazing once we finally went around the “wedding/special event” coordinator and worked directly with them. Props to the sound and lighting team. The Food/Catering: The food was nothing like they gave us at our tasting because the chef was replaced, but they didn’t tell us. We toured and booked The Rose because they advertise being vegan and gluten free friendly. However, when the head chef left and the replacement chef took over he didn’t know how to make the same food the head chef made for us. So he altered the meals, complained that the menu choices that they gave us (we asked for nothing outside of what they offered us) was too hard to do and blamed some “supply chain” issues. Had we known, we could have discussed different food options and had a second tasting. But instead we were left in the dark. They ended up serving us a plate of mush with very little flavor and several guests left to get pizza at a nearby restaurant. In addition to the poor food quality, the venue coordinator told us several times that we would need to order more food for our guests since we were serving vegan food. As you can imagine, that made us feel really bad. Vegan food doesn’t mean less satiating, unless of course your chef can’t figure out how to feed an appropriate plant-based dish I guess. When we discussed our dissatisfaction during our debriefing with the venue coordinator she said she was under the impression the new chef could handle it, and it was all out of her control. We asked to escalate our concerns with whomever was in charge of that department. She did and when we got a short, defensive, email from the GM of the Buffalo Rose we knew he didn’t have the full story. All of the issues we had were brought to their attention and instead of approaching us with understanding, solutions and resolutions or even showing a little empathy, they just made up excuses. They didn’t try one bit to make us feel better about everything. After back and forth we ended up telling them “ if your clients are this unhappy, why not offer a gift card for your restaurant or something so they feel heard and understood”. After that they offered us a gift card. Needless to say we did not accept and will not be giving them any more business. Needless to say if you’re expecting “top notch” hospitality, you won’t find it at The Rose Event Center...
