Well for the past few visits during the early morning hours before I go to work, the To-Go Order Schedule service times from midnight to 6am deliver poor service from the servers and cooks. This goes for all the locations around Goldsboro, N.C. Its almost never prompt service though you are greeted at the door. Sometimes they aren’t alert and the cooks are sleepy at the grill cooking and the food quality is ends up poor or not cooked correctly or thoroughly to food safety requirements. I have to repeatedly ask for items to recooked or cooked more to my liking. Although, when I go in later in the morning or afternoon to eat, the service is improved and exceptional. It’s been months since the last restaurant inspection and for why Is beyond me especially when are in a coronavirus pandemic. That’s not smart. Next, I get charged for stuff I didn’t order off the menu when It doesn’t include everything in an All-Star Breakfast in which I hardly ever order, but the price on my ticket reflects more than what my meal should cost when I only get the $1-$5 Value Menu priced Items. They don’t wash dishes even when it’s on slow or downtimes from previous customers. I had one instance this morning where I was ordering a breakfast sandwich and the server decided it was okay to whip my eggs in a dirty bowl around dirty plates by the grill eaten off of from a previous customer and then try to cook them around a grill that could’ve been cleaned better when my bacon was cooked on it. I had to tell him to mix the eggs in a clean bowl. They clean and sanitize at the wrong scheduled time in the mornings while people are still waiting to be served or coming in to pick up or place new to-go orders. Therefore, it takes too long to assemble the grill back together and get food cooked and I ran late going to work when I arrived over 30 minutes before simply because they refuse to answer the phone when I’m trying to place my order before leaving home. They’re always in the back, in the bathroom, and outside smoking or on their phones in their car. Sometimes they loiter or mess around whether it’s many or few customers. They stand by the phone and listen to it ring and then lie to say it doesn’t work where people can call in to place an order. I tried more than 3 times on each occurrence and I always get the same lie and excuse about the phone not working or it’s to much noise to hear it ring. Read more10/30/2013 9:30AM HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE! Me and my dad went there to grab a good breakfast before heading home from doctors appointment and man how i wish i had walked out before we ordered! To start off when we walked in the table was sticky and dirty from a previous customer along with the menus, but sometimes that happens and i wasnt counting it against them at that point. the waitress though went to put down our clean silverware on the table before cleaning it. after grabbing a dirty rag from another table and wiping ours off we ordered coffee and OJ, a trail of coffee was following the waitress on her way to back and thats when i noticed all the trash and food along with eggs on the floor. coffee was never cleaned up just left there. my coffee mug had old coffee still on the rim and syrup smudges on the side. i thought about bolting but figured hey maybe they were busier earlier. after ordering a couple came in and sat behind us. they ordered their drinks and a few minutes after receiving them left. another waitress asked where they had gone and our waitress shouted very loudly "they left because there was a dead fly in the window" well i understand the ridiculousness but still it was said very loudly in a very crowded restaurant. i ordered a chocolate chip waffle, which was just a waffle with a few chocolate chips thrown on top(not cooked in) and my syrup bottle was 1/4 full with syrup ALL over the bottle, top bottom and sides. The restaurant has a sign that says their sanitation is 95 but i will most defiantly not be going back there. not only was the front nasty but the cooking area had splatters and spills that might have been there since they opened at 5am. and whatever happened to professionalism? one girl was at the register chugging a mountain dew while taking a BC power and another was singing in a very loud sarcastic voice that she "loves her job", repeatedly. Read moreReally enjoyed the food and the service. As always. But I'm handicap in a wheelchair and we were asked to move from where.we.were sitting. Which was not appreciated by me and my friend, because we have sit at the same place many times that we have been there. And no one ever seem to have a problem before for us to sit where.we were. We were not in anyone's way, but we got up and moved because the manager wanted us to. Sorry to say but we were put to the very back and because of this attitude of the manager we will not be going to that waffle house as before. All the other workers have.treated us with pleasure and friendliness. I'm handicap with one.leg and in a wheelchair and was close to the rest room so if I needed to go I would not be bothering any one. But where I was moved to was way to the other end.
If you are handicap and need to be.where you can access the restrooms maybe you should seek somewhere else where you won't be discriminated against just because you have a handicap and made.to feel less than the important person that you are. I am sorry for that manager early breakfast on Friday morning whom couldn't have compassion for the Special needs of the handicap customer whom choose to give them her business.
