Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Goldsboro

I've always loved Zaxby's salads and go there often. But on September 23 2020 I had my first disappointment. I order the Blu salad but there was a difference this time. Usually everything is on the salad but this time the cheese & those little croutons were in little individual containers not in the bag but inside sitting on my salad. I hate when this is done doesn't seem sanitary to me. But my biggest disappointment was that halfway through the salad I encountered a long string of hair (not my color and not my texture) Needless to say I lost my appetite and threw the remainder salad out. (Please make sure your workers wear hair nets) It will be awhile before I purchase another salad there. I take one star away. Zaxby's DOES HAVE GREAT SALADS. June 2 2022 Well, its been a while since my last review. After the HAIR IN MY SALAD it took me awhile to return but I still LOVE Zaxby's salads. I have one more grievance. They no longer put your condiments (blue cheese, onion bits ect) on your salad for you but place them in little plastic containers. Twice I have asked the person receiving my order to not place those containers inside the tray on top of my salad and twice the opposite has been done. This is so unsanitary to me. There's always a long line so I try to keep it moving and not sit there and open my salad and look inside and if those containers are inside my salad tray just refuse it and demand that another one be made. I have been to this location a few times and have gotten nothing less than excellent service. The person at the register has always welcomed me with a smile and courteous greeting and answered any questions I had. My order has always been correct and when I asked for my sauce to be on the side it came with my meal in a separate cup with a lid. The drink machine is always in order and the drink area is well maintained. The dine in area is clean and presentable with a comfortable atmosphere and nice lighting. One of my favorite menu items is the three piece tenders meal with fries, toast, and a drink. The price is affordable, the food is hot, and there's just enough food in the meal to fill you up. Of course if you crave more they offer boneless wings, bone in wings, and several sauces in various degrees of heat. They offer different sides as well so you don't have to always have fries. Outta towner, 1st timer ever (from Texas). I was impressed by this place (12:30 pm), the crew was very attending, friendly and most of all they kept busy even when there was no customers (something you dont see now-these-days) lobby kept clean, area clean (wow). Had the sweet & spicey chicken (didnt even know it came with bone in/less. Here I thought they only had strips, but look at menu, they have alot of choices. In all was impressed, the only bad is got my sweet'n spicey chicken cold (not even warm), the fries, bread, strips and fried pickles was hot/fresh made.
