First let me say this Review is not on the food or the service with food. I went there after church with my husband and granddaughter , it was a long wait as it was Sunday after church. So my 8 month old granddaughter had her favorite tambourine, it’s a hand held green yellow , orange , green very colorful with silver bells! Well that would be the last time Emmie played with her tambourine because we accidentally left it there and when I realized it was left there that Wednesday they had already closed. I called the next morning at like 9 something and a young man answered I told him what I was looking for and he Immediately began to describe Emmie tambourine! I was so happy! He put me on hold and went to list and found where he said it was and after about a 10 minute wait he came back and said it was no longer there! I said what do you mean it’s not there you just said you saw it?! He said it probably got thrown out. I said no loss and found doesn’t work that way it’s only been 3 days! I asked to speak to a manager, and I Mr. Reginald came on the line. He took all my information and said that he would go and inquire about it as he was not working that shit. Long story short I called back a couple of days because I had not heard from the mannequin and I was so that her family had been And it was so I pointed out that the only people who would have access to their lost and found would be there so that meant that someone evidently has taken a because as we know does not work like that and three days later your items should still be there he was in agreement my purpose for writing. This is not on the food the food is good The price is excellent however if you have young children who may come here with a toy because of the long line to keep them occupied do your duediligence and make sure you have it when you leave because if you leave it there and it’s a nice toy It’s probably not gonna be there when you call back because apparently there’s some people that work there that are not honest and sadly that is just the world that we live in as for my granddaughter she will not be getting...
Read moreWell it was the first time my grandparents and I have been to the Western Sizzlin since the Covid-19 Pandemic. This location still has a 100% Sanitation grade which I was very pleased about. They have always been clean. They had tables blocked off for the social distancing. To my surprise, they were still serving the buffet-full bar despite the pandemic. People were eating from the buffet. We didn't feel comfortable with the food bar yet. So we ordered food specials to be cooked. That way we knew it would be individually served. We had the #2 (Junior Sirloin) with baked potatoes and #12 (Grilled chicken with onions and peppers) with a sweet potatoe. It also came with toast. The food quality was excellent. The meat was tender and juicy. We all were completely satisfied with the food. When we first arrived to the restaurant, we did request to have the waiter, Carlos. To our heart's content, he wore a mask and gloves while serving us. Carlos was very friendly. He always kept our glasses full with refills. Carlos always kept checking on us to see if we needed anything and to make sure we were happy with our food. I believe if he didn't have the mask on, I would have seen a smile on his face. My family and I was never disappointed when Carlos provided us with service. If you ever go to the restaurant, ask for Carlos. You will definitely be satisfied. I did notice some of the waitresses were not wearing a mask unfortunately. My family and I would return to Western Sizzlin. Now if we will ever be comfortable with the buffet bar again, considering the circumstances, I don't know. I did notice quite a bit of people with...
Read moreThe foodbar and salad bar is always good fried chicken mouth watering. The service is fair for the most part. Some servers are more personable than others. However some of the policies there are costly and extremely wasteful. We ordered a steak and food bar paying for it up front and since we had to wait on your steak we figured get a plate from foodbar and then take our steaks home for later. Well we asked for a box for our steaks the server said you have to pay $5 extra to take home your already paid for steak or throw it away. what kind of nonsense is that? I do understand that foodbar items have to be weighed if taken out, but this wasnt food bar items but a piece of meat that we already paid ...for come on now!? Thats just ridiculous. I didnt take a bite of my steak do to the issue my husbands steak was burnt and I thought it rude to enjoy mine in front of him. There is a difference between "Medium well"and for those who may not know "Medium Well" has the thinnest of pink lines and about 145°-155°" His was Extra Well done and could have been used as a shoe sole. So we wasted $20 in food because neither of us ate our steak and we refuse to pay $10 more to take them home to feed his to the dog. And unfortunately this was a visit we had a less than personable server that shrugged us off, and my husband doesn't like me to cause a "scene" and get a manager to attempt to fix the issue so I didn't. Usually this is the place to go for a good steak and has been for as long as I can...
