Santa Barbara Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in Goleta

I will never return. I had just taken my mother to the doctor's office. On a rainy day I took her to lunch at Sunshine Cafe. After we ordered, I realized I didn't have my phone, nor in my car. I asked if I could briefly use the Cafe's phone and was told "no." I explained that I had lost my phone and I wanted to make a quick call to my husband but the very rude owner/manager said, "No, that's the rule." I asked why and he replied again, "That's the rule." He would not listen to me at all. Fortunately, our waiter who was much more reasonable loaned me is personal phone. I called my husband and only took about 20 seconds on the phone. Upon entry, we were seated quickly in a nice clean booth. My wife ordered a mimosa (next time, ask if the customer wants garnish in their mimosa, mint is not normal), I had coffee. The attendance was beyond expectations. I ordered an eggs Benedict with excellent hashbrowns, eggs poach perfectly, and the english muffins were soggy. Most likely caused from the chef putting the poached eggs on the toast too early, leaving the water to soak the toast. On another note, I would have the manager check the toilets to see if they are loose. There was an odor of sewer leak upon entry. This is a common issue when the gasket under the toilets is not properly sealing the sewer pipe from the toilets. We will return, I don't think this is cause for concern, but it should be...

There is no sunshine at the sunshine cafe. We walked in and ask for a booth no booths were open so we were sat at a table and brought water. after about 2min. a booth was emptied at which point we requested that booth an were to we could not move unless we walked outside and reenter as we did and were given the booth. At this point they seem to be able to move the water from another table an put it on ours, not sure where that water came from. I ask for new water and was told they could not give a clean glass of water at the point we were not happy with there attitude and left the cafe, Not a place i would call the sunshine cafe. and will never attempt to eat...
