I took my daughter to Alex's for breakfast on her birthday. It was a weekday so it wasn't super busy but there were a lot of tables seated when we walked in. There were about 8 people milling about the waitress station and someone told us to, "just sit wherever and they'd be right there". We found a seat and had a lovely conversation for about 15 min while we watched the staff stare into the kitchen, waiting for food orders I suppose. We watched the staff conversing with each other and they seemed to be having a nice time, waking back and forth, waiting (we assume) stretching, loudly yawning, telling stories about their day so far. All the while, one employee enjoying a drink in a to go cup, with a noisy straw never broke eye contact with us. I know we weren't forgotten about because of this employee who we waved to, smiled at and even made questioning motions with our hands, no response. We wouldn't have minded a cup of coffee and a menu. We wondered if they even had menus since we looked around for some so we could help ourselves. Mind you, all this time not one plate of food came from the kitchen and no one left the area by that kitchen window either. I'm not an impatient person but come on, when you can see the staff isn't busy and you are just blatantly being ignored you start to feel all kinda ways uncomfortable. I was upset to leave after so much time had passed without even so much as a single word from anyone after they told us to sit down but we needed to find a place to get some breakfast and soon since we both had to get to work. No one said anything as we left either! Couldn't tell ya what the foods like at Alex's, don't know if they have a good cup of Joe or if they bring water to your table or even what their menu is like. I can't tell ya much about the place except they are fully staffed unlike a lot of places. However their staff doesn't seem to want to work and honestly we felt they were very rude. We went in with smiles to celebrate a birthday and left feeling sad and confused. Good luck to you, Alex's Restaurant, with staff like that I fear you're going to hit rock...

We came here dozens of times while our son was grinding through the brutal gauntlet of US Navy Nuclear Engineering school, and Alex’s became our unofficial command post. It’s where we refueled, regrouped, and reminded ourselves that good food and good people still exist. Let’s talk food: The Western Omelette and Big Country Omelette are stupid good. Not “pretty good for a diner” good—legitimately elite. Packed, balanced, and cooked like someone actually gives a damn. The biscuits and gravy? Southern comfort in its purest form. Flaky, rich, and unapologetically heavy in all the right ways. Edward never strayed from the Hash Browns All the Way with jalapeños—a plate so loaded it could qualify as a tactical weapon. Tracy swore by the pecan pancakes and bacon, and honestly, she had a point. Crispy edges, buttery pecans, and bacon that actually tastes like bacon. But it’s not just the food. It’s the vibe. The staff knew us. They knew our story. They asked about our son. They remembered our orders. That kind of consistency and care is rare—and it meant something during a chapter of our lives that was both proud and exhausting. Alex’s isn’t trying to be trendy. It’s not chasing Instagram clout. It’s just damn good food served by people who get it. And for us, it became part of the journey—one...
Read moreAlex's has great food & service. But coming from someone who knows & has witnessed it. A few of the staff members & mainly the owner our very inconsiderate of others. For instance, I had a problem while I worked there & needed a doctor's release form to return back & the doctor never took me out. So I had to go back to the Dr. & They said, they never put me on mecial Leave & could not get the form needed, But I got a Dr. Excuse saying I could return back. I give them the note, & after blowing me off numerus of times for 2 weeks finally I hear back from the owner saying we will call you if we need you. 2 more weeks go by & I stayed incontact the whole time & never heard anything. Finally I texted her & said this is very unprofessional it's a week before Christmas & I need to know if I have a job. 3 days later she still hasn't said anything. I finally text her again (because not one time would she answer my calls) & I tell her I quit. She text back within 10 minutes to say... Yes it was not working out anyways. & She had just done the same thing to a friend of mine who has kids to feed. But she just took her off the schedule & never said anything to her about, gave her a reason, or anything & it was like that for like a week, week an 1/2 & then says I'll call you if I need you. Well I'm pretty sure we can all quess what happens next.
So if you're hungry, I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a job, I suggest looking...
