Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Goose Creek

I was the only customer in the place. There were three workers. One took my order, one rang me up and one was sitting on top of one of the booths, playing with her phone. I was watching the worker make the Philly steak sandwich. She used a knife to open a cardboard box while the meat and veg were grilling. Then she took the SAME knife and opened a package of cheese. That was gross, so I told her not to use that same knife on my sandwich. She said "yes, ma'am" and finished up my sandwich. The worker sitting on top of the booth jumped down, flew into the grill area, snatched up the dirty knife and took it in the back, returning with an identical looking knife, which she threw down beside the griddle, apparently aggravated that I had said anything. If I hadn't already paid I probably would have just walked out. I didn't want to make a scene. I just didn't want the dirty knife used on my food. There should be an adult in the store at all times. Walking into Jersey Mike’s I was with my three kids and when we were getting assisted the workers were talking very rudely to my children and had no patience for us talking our time, One thing that really got to me is that Latoya started screaming at my child to hurry up 😠 that is one thing I will not tolerate. than when we finally opened our sandwiches there was black hair inside my sandwich 🤮🤮, we than demanded for a refund but Latoya refused to and the other coworkers were staring at us from the back and watch the commotion and didn’t go anything to stop the manger from getting in my face and telling me “ you paid for what You got” . Usually order online and pickup. Staff is friendly, when I've been there, with the exception of one time. Usually a pretty clean place. I have noticed online, when you order double meat, doesn't appear that happens consistently. Overall, pretty good, but, suggest having some sort of measure for this... not sure how it's done, but when I order and eat there, seems to be right... to go orders, not so much. Still love Jersey Mikes and this location overall is better than most... just need to work a bit on consistency....
