Angel's House Of Pancakes — Restaurant in Goshen

We visit this restaurant frequently but today I at with my children and a neighbor kid and the service was very poor. The waitress brought the meals one or two at a time for a party of 5. She charged us extra for drinks that were included in the 2 child meals. In addition charged 8.95 for 3 sodas... on top of that she must have assumed because I am black that I wasnt going to tip -- she added the gratuity to the total due. We have never had this treatment here, in fact the last time we had a young teen maybe early 20s wait on us and was very professional... this was very recent and the receipt didnt look like this at all. The meal should have been about 46.00 plus 3 drinks. In the end the cashier removed the 2 child drinks as they were included. And we gave a 5.00 tip as normally for good service e I'd have given 15.00. I think adding the gratuity is a very poor procedure and if you used it because I'm black ... you judged wrong. Shame on you. I dont want to think this is why you brought me corn with my steak instead of asking which side I'd like as I originally asked for steak and french fries... regardless maybe she had an off day .... or maybe just maybe she judged incorrectly. We will not be back ... which I'm sure you...

Always good food, but had a terrible experience tonight. We had a group of ten people, so I can understand that it might take a while, but we waited 45 minutes for our food after we ordered. We waited 5 minutes for a hostess to show up. Then when she did show up we waited 10 more minutes for a seat. Waited 15 minutes for a waitress to take care of us so we ordered right away when she came by. Waited 15 minutes on our drinks to come out. Then we had to ask the busser for a refill on drinks, which took another 10 or 15 minutes for the waitress to bring out. When our food finally came after 45 minutes, we only had one bottle of syrup which didn't reach around the table, so we had to ask the busser for more. Then finally we waited 15 minutes or more after we were done for the waitress to bring our checks and boxes. We were only asked once if we wanted refills and that was because we asked the busser for more. When we were finally able to leave, 1 hour and 45 minutes had passed. It was a poor excuse of customer service! I want local businesses to do well, so I hope they get...

Our waitress on our most recent visit must be new or was having a horrible day because she was awful! Rude, no customer service skills. Forgot items and got an attitude about it. Never did get part of our order. My friend ordered soup and mozzarella sticks, she waited until bringing our food to tell us they were out of mozzarella sticks. Brought my friend her soup to go....she did NOT ask for it to go!! Absolutely the worst service ever, it was like she didn't want to be there or super distracted.. Also, I ordered a side of hashbrowns, it came plated with eggs. I informed her we had extra, she took the plate and returned it. They were still on the same plate and it was obvious she'd just slid them off into the trash. That's not how an error is properly corrected, the hashbrowns should have been re-plated. Train her more! A bad day doesn't warrant awful service! I waited tables for years and never once did my job suffer due to a...
