I had never gone to Hacienda ever and the first time I go I had the worst experience I’ve had in dining, I’ve never been one to write a review but this time I felt beyond upset. Me and a couple of friends attended last night as soon as we get there the host who is supposed to be the first impression of the restaurant was rude. She seemed annoyed and when we started walking in just because we stepped a few steps ahead passive aggressively said “you know where you’re headed” that for me already gave me a bad outlook of the place. Secondly we get sat, dismissively might I say, and we have two servers staring us down and then the girl complains in front of us how she just got sat and she shouldn’t have got another table. So the host comes back up to us and moves us after we had already sat down just because the server, out loud, spoke out. Then we order a queso dip and it’s not even hot had to get it reheated. My friend orders a margarita as his drink then later on he orders a singular shot of tequila. He proceeds to ask for another one a bit later and the server asks him if he’s driving and that “he’s being goofy”. We were just some friends out for a dinner and hang out, we were just having a good time that’s all, only 2 of us were drinking. We let her know that and said we had all carpooled together. Still she refused like that’s crazy especially when we’re already paying 8$ a shot and confirmed he’s not driving like he had a mixed drink and a single shot nothing crazy all because we were having a good time with each others company. At this point we’re all enraged along with all the other things we had to deal with from our experience. My friend has been going there a while he invited us all there brought three new customers and we all left furious, more so him because he’s a regular and he spoke well about the place only to be the one let down the most. I’m not sure if it’s because we were a young table or why we got treated so poorly it was ridiculously I am never going back and definitely don’t recommend. Hope this gets fixed because with poor service like this you won’t retain...
Read moreI love Hacienda. I've been a strong patron since the 1990s. I travel a lot and I always go to Hacienda after I've been away for a while.
I usually get the Wet Burrito and I substitute out the lettuce and have rice added. It's fire! The chips and salsa are amazing and you get free refills.
The service has always been wonderful and I've never had a negative experience until very recently. I had been out of town for over a month and I brought my daughter to Hacienda to catch up.
The hostess station was nearly blocking the doorway and there was nowhere for anybody to stand. A guest was passing through and exiting. My daughter (always polite) moved out of her way.
The hostess (Robin) was really rude and told my daughter to get out of the way after my daughter had already cleared a path. My daughter looked at me like, 'what did I do wrong?' I told her that she didn't do anything wrong.
I gave Robin a pretty stern look because I didn't appreciate the tone that she took with my daughter. Then when it was our turn to get our seat I requested a booth. Robin snapped at me and told me that I could possibly get a booth if there were any open. I looked in the dining room and it was half empty.
Another hostess, obviously embarrassed, stepped in and took us to our booth and apologized.
Like I said before, I love Hacienda and I'm still going to give it five stars, but I hope that Hacienda might reconsider putting someone with an obvious personality disorder in charge of greeting customers.
It really sucked because I hadn't seen my daughter in a long time - she was very concerned that she did something wrong. I reassured my daughter that some people are just very rude and she hadn't done anything wrong. However, It kind of put a damper on our...
Read moreThis may be funny but I'm dead serious. As we approached the entrance the place looked authentically pleasing and it was packed; but shortly after entering i noticed something very interesting, nobody was speaking Spanish. Now with the Tejano music playing overhead you would think that there would be some Hispanic people there; not one. We were greeted by a nice lady who asked what we would like to drink. We then received our chips and what I can only describe as canned tomato paste mixed with taco sauce; it wasn't edible. I then started looking over the menu and I noticed something peculiar, the kids menu was called little Juans. I order Chic on the Beach with shrimp, which is a bed of rice, some veggies, cheese sauce, and shrimp instead of chicken. After a short wait we had our food; which wasn't bad considering how busy the place was. I was surprised at how small my plate was for close to 13.00. I tried the rice first. It tasted like a Knorr side dish of instant fiesta rice. Then I tried the shrimp, it was over-seasoned. The veggies and cheese sauce made the plate edible. Everyone was pretty disappointed with what they received as well. We had two tickets and somehow that got mixed up as well. Gordon Ramsey would flip. I have enjoyed quality Mexican food in TX, NM, AR, ND, FL, MS, TN, and never have I experienced anything like this. I have no idea why they were so packed but it was...
