Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Goshen

Update: I will not respond to the link you send to everyone, take account of the review or don't, from what I've seen this Goshen location will go down the same way the Elkhart location did.

TLDR; Waitress was not at all attentive, took too long to take our order for drinks, ran off as fast as she could, food was not ready after an hour of ordering, was not busy, people who ordered way after us that had more than us got their food first, one burger was done but not sent to the table and was probably sitting there getting cold, never got any food, we ended up walking out and leaving after being in the building for an hour and a half and waiting an hour for food and getting the run around.

This had to be one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. As we walked in they said they were short staffed, which is fine there wasn't many people in the restaurant so it shouldn't have been too bad, so we waited about 10 minutes to be sat. After we got sat our waitress (I can't remember her name it was a Wednesday night on July 2nd) came over in about 5 minutes after us sitting to say she'll be right with us, she did that 2 - 3 more times with 3-5 minute intervals before she even took our drinks, when she finally took our drinks we were ready to order but she just took the drinks and ran off instantly, it took another 7 minutes for us to get our drinks and when she brought them she didn't give us straws and of course just ran off before we could even say anything. She continued to walk past us several times and tell us that she'll "just be a little bit" and ran off and never refilled our empty drinks, finally after 30 minutes of waiting to order she came and took our order and we basically had to beg her to refill our drinks and give us straws. Every 10 minutes was her coming by telling us "it'll just be a little bit". There were people who ordered 15 minutes after us that got their food first which they had a way more complicated meal than what we ordered (we ordered burgers and fries), she also attempted to give us their appetizer and we were initially confused because we never ordered any appetizers. We kept waiting and at one point we were in that building for over an hour and waiting on food for nearly an hour and our waitress told us that she was waiting on one of the burgers but the other was ready, she never brought the other one out and 30 minutes goes by and she never brought the one that wasn't ready our and supposedly there was one ready so it would've been cold. After a total of an hour and a half of being in the building and being told "it'll be ready soon" we just got up and walked out with no food. I will never return to this location this was the worst sit down experience I've ever had with a restaurant and I will absolutely turn away anyone who asks about this location. Keep in mind we were in that building for over an hour and a half and we never got food and kept getting the run around when people who ordered way after us had a literal feast in front of them. So angry/disappointed in this place. Tonight I ordered through GrubHub. I've done it a few times in the last few months. The last time everything was good,but our fries were completely cold,and old like they had been sitting for awhile. Also they weren't salted or seasoned. Tonight they were the same,only we didn't order them. Ordered two 8oz steaks that automatically come with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes unless you ask for something else. Well we didn't,and we got cold fries,and lukewarm garlic green beans instead. That were never ordered. Our motzerella sticks were also lukewarm and starting to get hard. Our chips were also cold, tasteless and unsalted,but the queso, guacamole,and salsa were good. My mango iced tea was warm and didn't taste like mango or tea,but was extremely bitter and tasted like someone either at Applebee's or the GrubHub driver poured nail polish remover into it. It was disgusting. Hopefully though neither are dumb enough to tamper with a paying customers order. Should of kept it so if I end up sick in the hospital it can be tested for chemicals to see if it was tampered with. The steak was cold, unseasoned, unflavorful,and extremely fatty and of very low quality,which is surprising seeing as they are usually good if you actually go inside and dine. Maybe because they then care more? Maybe because then they have to be good so they get tipped. Over all our experience tonight was overall a waste of money and disgusting. From the moment we walked in I felt the atmosphere was off. Waited for a hostess for a few minutes, too long seeing as they seemed to be fully staffed and only at half capacity. Finally greeted by a woman with a half smile and asked how many people, once she got our menus around, another scowling woman approached and appeared to be very upset that the first woman was trying to help us. Anyway, we were seated, then waited 5 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. By this time I had already vocalized to my family that I was not impressed with the service, which is very unlike me. Fifteen minutes later and we still did not have water, while seeing another table that was seated after us receive their drinks right away. The waitress did apologize for the wait when she brought them, we ordered our meals and she went on her way. While waiting I noticed other customers visibly upset with the service as well. The food did come out in good time. My meal was just okay, wouldn't say it was bad, but nothing about it was particularly good either. Waitress didn't ask if we'd like more drinks until our meal was over, by this point my son had already asked to finish my wife's water. Then came the bill, four 15ish dollar meals, an appetizer, and 2 drinks added up to 100 dollars. I regret not having looked harder at that knowing some of our meals were in the 2 for 25 or 2 for 35, but by this point I just wanted the experience over. I hate saying negative things, but I'm hopeful it will help bring much needed change.
