I usually go to Burlington just to spend a little time out of the house since my disability doesn’t allow me to do much. I’m a quiet person, so I mostly keep to myself and just observe. But what I saw from one of the managers really upset me.
There’s a woman with black hair with a bun who was being incredibly rude and unfair to her employees. There was no helping or guiding. You could tell the worker was trying their best, but the manager seemed to only want to criticize.
Then, the same manager went near the register and loudly gossiped about another worker who had just gone to the bathroom. She said something like, “If you need to go that often, you should get checked for a UTI,” in front of customers and other employees. It was so uncomfortable.
As someone who just wanted a peaceful shopping trip, it broke my heart to see that kind of behavior. No one deserves to be treated like that at work. Burlington should really look into this manager’s behavior…employees deserve kindness and respect, not humiliation. As someone who is disabled and would definitely take a while to put things away i feel so bad knowing that if i were there id be talked badly about and just have a bully constantly wanting to see what else to bother with so disabled or not be respectful! Shame on you manager and those who...
Read moreWas just in. DEB was the cashier that checked me out today. My total was $16.08. I told her I wanted to pay 15.08 on my card and then the rest in cash. She couldn’t do the math in her head and got very upset with me. I told her to just put in 15.08 for a card then do the rest in cash. She said she can’t do that, and she would have to do cash first…. I’ve work in CS, you CAN and NEED to do CARD first THEN do cash. But she told me she can’t so I told her go ahead then do cash first, then she looked at her screen and said oh, I can’t do that either. I told her to do the math and charge my card $15.08 and then .96 in cash… she didn’t like that answer either BUT IT WORKED! She was very upset and rude with me for no...
Read moreOnly reason I am writing this review is due to an extremely rude employee. She had her name badge flipped. She had dark hair in a bun, glasses, black shoes and white cardigan she walked up to us rudely and stated that the store was closing in 5 mins and that we needed to get to registers or we will not be checked out. I checked my phone and it was 11:45. I completely understand wanting to leave for the night and the timing being close. I’m elderly and walk slow. The problem wasn’t about needing to wrap it up it was how she spoke to me. She needs to learn better customer service. Being nice gets you a much further. On a positive note the cashier Natalie was very nice and helpful! She was the best part of...
