Came in to panera today to eat with my husband. I've worked in food service for too long and tend to watch kitchen staff and others around to see if they enjoy their jobs. With panera's reputation and inclusion I expected more. To say I was disappointed and concerned is an understatement. Not only was the kitchen overwhelmed with orders, but I noticed two women watching all of it and acting like school girls. When i went up to get my order I saw the pic of the store manager, and one of those girls was Stephanie. When her staff was overwhelmed and with many tickets on the screen, she and another employee were chatting and poking fun at the staff and who I guessed was another manager (an asian girl who seemed to be doing her best among chaos). They were hugging and acting very childish. Clearly the store is run very poorly if this is how the store manager behaves. Both girls should have been helping in the kitchen or at the very least supporting the staff with direction. I feel truly sorry for the staff and the people that work there, and will not be returning or praising panera for their values anymore. Having that kind of relationship with another employee is inappropriate and puts a serious divide between management and the rest of the staff. Anyone in charge of the goshen panera should be ashamed, because this is something that must have been happening for some time. They were way too comfortable and inappropriate for it to be a...
Read moreAfter looking on Google for places that were open for a late dinner, we chose Panera. Open until 9pm according to Google. We arrived at 7pm. We ordered over $80 worth of food to dine in. There were many ppl in a closed off area in the dining room for training. When our pager rattled we went to get our food there was no one behind the counter. It was sitting there with missing items. We asked an employee in the diningroom for help and were told,"sorry we are closed". We responded that we are missing items. A manager came over and was more than rude . She acted like we were more than a bother to her. She rudely said that a sign on the door posted they were closing at 730 for training, as does their website. System wide all stores are closed. "But we wont kick you out" she said. We used google maps, and saw no sign on the door even upon leaving after eating. The food we paid $80+ for was NOT up to Panera standards. The soups were cold, the sandwiches were slapped together and missing ingredients. We should have been told at the register upon ordering, for dine in, at 7pm, that the place was closing at 7:30. I have never had a manager at a Panera show the attitude and unprofessionalism this woman did. I would not recommend this...
Read moreMet one of my team members here for an early light lunch. Meet at 11:30 and she had already secured a booth for us. We were second in line to order. She got the apple sliced salad with water and I choose the pick 2 with ceaser chicken salad and mac and cheese with large ice tea. Total bill was $19.75. Went to get our drinks and no lemon for the tea or water. I asked the employee behind the counter and she stated she would talk to the mgr. Sat down for about 7 minutes and our buzzer went off that the food was ready. I again inquired about the lemons with the same employee and was told none were cut. Loved the mac and cheese. Good flavor and tender but not over done. The salad had little slices of chicken which I wish they would warm up as I don't care for cold chicken. My guests salad was large sized and had many different items. Both also came with feedback loaf bread and butter. Refilled drinks before we left. Pleasant lunch but come early to...
