Culver’s — Restaurant in Grafton

Have been through the drive thru and on several occasions now .5 out of 6 times in the last couple months my orders have been messed up. Forgot Fries. Burger is not what I ordered. Forgot other parts of the order. This last time the kid taking my order never read it back and when i asked him to at the window, he rolled his eyes at me, wow I explained that the last few times when I get home with my family's order it has been messed up in some way. I then Asked to have someone please check the order a second time before bringing it out to my truck .this was a $48.00 order . After waiting for about 10 min. A lady brought out my order and right away I looked and was missing a large fry and a large cheese curd order... wow .she then went back in and a few minutes later came out with the forgotten food. When I got home we then realized there was no tartar sauce for the fish fry we ordered the fries were also cool. And the bacon double deluxe burger was plain double cheeseburger with nothing but cheese.,just plain, no ranch cup that I asked for, not one napkin in the bag. I did not return because I felt that everything would be cold by the time I got back home so we dealt with it AGAIN . I don't know what is happening to the service at this Grafton culver's but I'm Pretty sure I'm not the only one who has noticed or had issues with service. I have noticed there are a lot of young kids working at this location and maybe lack of management is causing the very noticeable drop in the service at this location. Maybe this location needs to hire some older more skilled workers. I love Culver's food but have realized this location needs to get its act together...

Updating: And, wanting to like this location so, so much. Soggy bread on Reuben sandwich, tiny amount of fatty and cold meat and a single wee slice of a dill pickle. Ordered mash and gravy, which was also cold. Chocolate malt, well, it was a very thick, but someone forgot the malt powder. This meal was filling, but it totally lacked the satisfaction I always felt when eating here. I think today is the last time I will dine here. So sad.

I have enjoyed uncounted wonderful meals here and at the Racine location and on my way home from a couple of essential errands on this frigid evening I thought a stop there for dinner.

I wanted to try the chicken tenders, having seen the commercial touting them as a Culver family favorite. My order seems to have been lost in the translation from visual media to actual meal. One third mushy chicken, two thirds breading and a bonus percentage of some weird, gummy and grayish goo something. It was just plain icky, with a grudging acquaintance with disgusting. Their appearance was fine and they looked delicious.

A truly astonishing failure after so many good meals. I would have returned them were it not so darn cold and I considered calling to share what they were like but that seems like a difficult thing to do, call and tell one of your favorite restaurants that their food was to foul to eat. Fortunately the sundae I also ordered was delicious, as were the fries, so...

Decided that a great Swiss Mushroom Butterburger with onion rings would hit the spot during this trip.

While waiting for my to go order I watched several of the young employees just joking around not taking their responsibilities seriously. One employee tried to throw away a milk carton but instead it hit the edge of the can and went about 15 feet into the workspace. That employee left it and later another employee picked it up to dispose of. In my opinion nobody in a management position was present because I doubt they would allow such actions.

I was given my order and went back to the hotel just to find out half the order is missing.

So drove back to the restaurant. When I told the cashier he had no questions just got what I was missing, no apology, just a take your food and leave attitude.

The order was placed inside not in the drive through but I thought of what Joe Pesci, in Lethal Weapon, had to say about a drive thru.

The food deserves a 5 but the poor customer service takes down the overall score.

I’d go back but will now be one of those people that looks through the bag before...
