After a very emotional day working to rescue a dog and get him into a foster home, I stopped for a take out pizza. I was tired and very doubtful that I had made a difference. I got to the Little Caesars just before closing but couldn't make the app work. I was frustrated and drove to the window to place my order expecting to be told I was too late.
The nicest manager came to the window to personally take my order. She was so friendly and patient. Even though the store was close to ending it's business day, the manager never rushed me or acted rudely. She treated me with dignity as if my business mattered.
I was shocked at her professionalism because nowadays almost NOBODY in the service industry seems to have a personality of gratitude or appreciation. Many are rude, have an inflated sense of their own importance, crudely defensive, have an overinflated sense of entitlement, and have no idea their job is based on customer satisfaction. Some will go as far as to demand YOU give THEM respect they aren't earning while often cussing at you, rolling their eyes, or disrespecting your attempt to conduct business at their establishment. This is such "the norm" in customer service these days, that I rarely ever eat out and I have become selective about where I shop.
The Manager took my order but forgot to add an ingredient. Honestly, I wouldn't have known until I got home and they would have been closed. This AMAZING manager explained she'd made an error but (because of the time) would comp my meal so I could get home.
I was shocked! She admitted an error. She Chose a customer friendly solution. She considered my time and the hours her workers had put in. She initiated a mutually acceptable alternative AND never blamed me or lost her smile! Best of all, she did it all on her own without me having to be a bad guy!
In short, she put the customer first, protected the Company's brand, acted like she cared, demonstrated professionalism, and DID THE RIGHT THING!
I was so touched that I began to cry. It was a small act of kindness but it truly touched me. I had a difficult weekend working to save the rescue puppy. All I wanted was dinner for myself and my Service dog. I appreciated the manager treating me with honesty and dignity.
Thank you! I will always remember how good that pizza tasted. It was the best "error" I have had but only because the Manager was such a WINNER!
Thank you so much. Your kindness meant the world to me last night! It was a little act of kindness that made a...
Read moreThe manager of this store is the epitome of unprofessional. I called about an order that was made incorrectly. I had also mentioned that the box was not assembled correctly because the whole thing came apart and the pizza fell onto my carpet. She immediately got defensive and told me that there is only one way to assemble the boxes. I am not sure what that even means, I'm sure that they aren't foolproof. The one that I got was torn on the top and appeared to have been wet and completely came apart, falling on my carpet. I asked if I could bring the pizza back and have a new one made correctly and she told me that I would need a receipt. I informed her that I was not offered a receipt and she told me that I had to describe the person who handed me the pizza if I wanted a replacement. I am not sure why she was so intent on giving me a hard time but she got extremely nasty and hung the phone up on me. It seems very silly to make a problem with such a simple solution so difficult. I'll be calling corporate about this "manager" and her childish, unprofessional antics. Oh, did I mention that they were out of absolutely everything? While the manager was on duty. Awesome job Manager! The girl at the window told me that anything that you ordered (even the hot and READY stuff) would be a 20 minute wait because they were out of EVERYTHING. Luckily, I had pre-ordered....
