The owners of this place are their own enemies. They will be their downfall and reason they close shop. Too busy chasing pennies and passing over dollars. They need to move to a smaller location and hire more workers.
The pho was actually good. I was very surprised, but they don’t give any of the dressings to accompany the dish. Thursday Nov 7 2024 we only got maybe no joke, 18-20 bean sprouts, no basil, ONE thinly sliced piece of jalapeño and a hard as a rock slice of lime that would put to shame said rock in dryness. I expect to add all of the customary ingredients to bring the flavors up to my liking. But the flavor of the broth was good, it was.
The sushi was horrible. So small, about the size of a nickel for about eight pieces at an average of $15 a roll. To top it off the fish was fishy. It was not fresh at all. I would expect being close to the weekend it would be fresh, but I would have rather had the sushi from H-E-B in the same parking lot. They need to get rid of the sushi and focus on the pho.
I'm assuming an owner would constantly make excuses regarding customers calling in. They wouldn’t answer the phone. With only one person waiting tables slowly, one making horrible sushi and the lady in the kitchen preparing everything, they couldn’t multi task enough to create more revenue? “As you can see we can’t do it, we are doing the best we can” and “it hurts me that we can’t answer the phone, believe me!” were his words as frustrated customers would come in. They only had four tables available to sit in and the bar top. He obviously has his priorities set to making garbage sushi instead of removing sushi for the night, and stepping up the customer service.
It’s a shame, the pho was decent. Everything else about this place needs to be reevaluated. Especially the man...
Read moreThis is my second time "trying" to order from here. The first time I ordered I had to call multiple times before someone picked up. I finally got through after the 3rd time calling. Person that picked up seemed very annoyed that I wanted to place an order. If this wasn't the only Pho restaurant in Granbury I would've just hung up and called someone else but I decided to suck it up and place my order. I tried to order spring rolls as an appetizer but was told they no longer server them. What pho restaurant doesn't serve spring rolls?!? I went ahead and just said forget the spring rolls and just got a bowl of beef pho. Pho was VERY BLAND. They gave me 2 basil leaves and a title of 10 bean sprouts with my pho lol. Talk about stingy!! I ordered extra noodles and meat since all the reviews hinted that this place was very stingy with their meat and noodles (EVERYTHING APPARENTLY). Well even with the extra noodles and meat it still came out to be just a normal sized large you could get at any other pho restaurant. Not a very good experience with them. I decided to give them another try tonight but couldn't even get them to pick up the phone. It's Saturday 6pm so they are CLEARLY OPEN. I called 15 times and no answer.....What kind of restaurant DOESNT PICK UP THEIR PHONE to take an order?!?! NEVER WILL I EVER spend any more money at this place. It's as if they don't want your business. Really wish there was another option here in town. I guess I'll just drive to fort worth for pho because I'm never ordering from these...
Read moreAduu hasn't been open very long so I expect they'll improve over time, and I'm very glad Granbury finally has a Pho restaurant because it's my favorite food to eat, so I want them to do well, however there's still work to do! There are only two selections of Pho currently, and none with tripe or beef fat (sorry guys that's pretty important!) Also the seating options inside could use a little work, but like I said it's still new, I expect both those things will improve quickly. What I didn't like was that the Sriracha and Hoison sauce were served as premeasuered amounts (big no no, put the bottles on the table, everyone has their perfect amount of each they like) and for the sushi, the ginger they used is weird.. It's artificially colored and has a strange texture. The Wasabi was also dry like a little clod of clay, also an easy fix. The sushi (we had the Party Roll, which is similar to a rainbow roll) was just passable, and not as good as Miyako's and fairly pricey at $13 for the quality. The fried rice was also just OK, and it had bits of old over cooked clumps of rice that stuck in with obviously more fresh rice. But, again, I expect once they find their groove these things will all improve, I gave 3 stars because as it is its not bad, just not above average in any way, and we'll continue going there whenever we need that Pho...
