Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Grand Haven

Grand Haven finally gets its own Popeyes! This location has been open for a few days now and I can say that the store was very clean, nice atmosphere and the employees were nice and friendly. There is a hand sanitizing station right as you enter the restaurant which is really good and I'm sure many will appreciate.

The chicken was well cooked and tasted really good, everything I ordered was amazing! One thing however, is that I ordered a classic (non spicy), 3 piece chicken tenders for one of my orders and received spicy tenders instead, which I think was an honest mistake on their part. I didn't realize until I got home and started eating so I'll definitely double check my food next time before leaving the restaurant (which I always do).

Also Mobile/Popeyes App ordering is not available for this location (which I hope they'll have eventually), so I wasn't able to redeem any of my offers on the app or place an order on there which would have also lowered the cost of the food as well. Some food items were more pricey at this location than expected and would have been half the cost if Popeyes App ordering was available. I spend around $22 for a 3 piece tenders combo and 2 piece chicken combo meal which would have cost me around $12 on the app. Overall, the food was wonderful and I will be trying some more menu items whenever I'm...

I've had their chicken sandwiches more than a few times. This was the first time I've seen a BAD one. Our party had four. Three were up to their usual standards. The fourth was BAD. The chicken was more like rubber than poultry. My daughter didn't finish it, and gave me the rest. There were parts that I could barely chew through. Also, the chicken tenders should be called Chicken Toothpicks. I've never seen smaller ones. This was the "dinner" version. On the plus side, they tasted great. "Blackened" was awesome. The food would have been five stars, but the bad sandwich and the tiny tenders brought it down to a three. We didn't discover these things until we were a few miles away sitting down to eat. The employees were friendly, but all of the food was done and sitting on the shelf but the tenders didn't come out for another 4-5 minutes. Food I got here was cooked to perfection but sitting in a inch of sauce.... Also the sauce they gave me smelled rotten or old... When I got to the counter to order a Spanish speaking lady with a huge attitude created me in Spanish... When I said I didn't understand what she said she rolled her eyes looked back and said something to her coworkers that I couldnt make out other than "gringo" in which they all started laughing... I ordered by pointing out the menu and had a cup shoved into my chest halfway thru my order. Also was handed everything in a bag and boxed up even though I ordered to eat in. When I asked for my receipt she crinkled it up and threw it away and I asked again and she then handed me a order receipt from back of house not my purchase receipt.
