Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Grand Island

I’ve been a loyal weekend visitor of this Mexican restaurant for over a month, always enjoying their tasty food and fast service. However, my recent visit with my parents was disappointing—one that has left me reconsidering my future visits.

On this particular evening, my mom and I decided to bring my dad, who had never tried the restaurant before. We arrived at 6:20 pm and started the evening with high expectations, especially since my mom and I had recommended it for its quality food and efficient service. My parents ordered micheladas while I got a lemonade.

Unfortunately, the service fell short of what we had come to expect. After we placed our order, we waited for almost an hour. It turned out that our order never even made it into the system because the ticket never printed for the cooks. Shockingly, other guests who arrived later seemed to have their meals served in just 20-30 minutes, intensifying our frustration.

The situation was more than just a delay—it felt as if our presence was deliberately overlooked. I honestly suspect that the server may have had something personal against us, making the experience feel discriminatory. Such treatment is disappointing, especially when one has consistently left a deserved tip based on past positive experiences.

Everyone deserves value for their money, and after a long wait for nothing, it's hard to justify returning with the same trust. I hope the establishment takes note of this issue and works to ensure no other loyal customer experiences this kind of neglect. The portions were generous and the menu offered a nice variety of choices, but overall the flavors were just okay—nothing that really wowed us. We had the steak chimichanga and the enchiladas tropicales. My chimichanga was first brought out with shrimp instead of steak, but our waiter was very attentive and quickly corrected the mistake, which we appreciated.

The dining room has plenty of seating with tables spaced widely apart, so it never felt crowded. We were seated promptly on a Saturday night. The décor is your typical Mexican restaurant style—colorful and festive. Overall, solid service and comfortable atmosphere, but the food didn’t...

I ordered beef fajitas.... the plate was good... but definitely it wasn't been fajitas...different beef... I said more than 2 times i don't want sour cream....and what happened 🤢🤮🙄👀 the salad was with that thing...other thing I really don't liked was that employees was talking about wich one tables need to be attended for others waitress and they were talking about personal problems...... lololol obviously in Spanish but I'm Mexican sooooooo....bad thing..... plus they only checked in my table just ONE time... prices r ok... but no thx definitely I'm not going to visit again.... no one wants a dramas in a place to enjoy food... the...
