This place has potential, the problem lies in the management. We waited a long time to go there because of the other reviews, but figured we'd give it a try and judge for ourselves. The first time we went was on halloween,(the rabbit was our server) We waited 10 minutes for her to take our drink order. It wasn't that busy. Then after we placed our order we didn't see her until we got up to ask for refills. We ordered our food, and when i asked her for another refill she said "of course" then I didn't see her for a while. So i waved her over, and pointed to my drink. She said "right", and got the drinks. Same thing with the food, I would ask her for something and we wouldn't see her for 10 minutes, once again reminding her of what we asked for. The food was ok, so we chalked it up to a bad night and tried again. The second trip started off promising. The waitress was friendly and attentive at first. The first mistake she made was giving my husband the wrong drink then looking at us like we were crazy when we told her it was wrong. My husband ordered fries. Twenty minutes later, after we watched her hug a dozen people and tell a long story, we told her we didn't get our fries. She brought out cold ones and blamed the cooks. We told her they were cold, and reordered. We never saw those fries btw. 15 minutes in and she stopped by and asked us if we got the fries. They weren't on the table so Duh? She blamed the cooks then laughed it off. My husband said "forget the fries, we're ready to go now". The manager stopped by and said "I heard what happened with your fries so I took them off the bill" (Which was nice of her since we never actually Saw the fries) and she blamed the cooks, saying they were on a shift changed and someone got confused. Then she laughed it off and ran off to say hi to someone she knew. I managed a restaurant for 6 years, and this would've never happened on my watch. It simply boils down to BAD management. We won't go back, because we know this will be the norm as long as the management stays the same. I was there with family and friends and we all agreed to check this place off of our list of...
Read moreSince we are new resident in Grand Junction, my husband and I have been perusing the local eateries in search of the best ones. This establishment does not make the cut.
Service: Our server, although pretty to look at, spent a rediculous amount of time flirting with the bartender and ignoring her 2 tables. We waited for almost 15 minutes between the time we ordered a drink and the time she delivered, at which point she tried to mosey off without asking if we were ready to order. I had to stop her and ask her to take our order at that moment, please.
Decor: The atmosphere was nice pretty atypical for a sports themed bar, the only plus being that they had many big screen TVs, one of which was tuned to a movie channel. At least I was amused.
Food: The worst part by far. Although the pictures on the menu and the descriptions had our mouths watering, the food did not live up to expectations. My husband had a sandwich/salad combo, a club which was the best part of the food, but was still only so-so, and a ceasar salad. The salad was limp, not crisp, and the dressing tasted stale. I ordered the nachos with taco beef. It was BLAND! Not what you want from nachos... further more, they skimped on the taco meat, it was barely there, the nachos were dripping with cheese grease, the salsa tasted like marinara sauce, and the chips were as stale as the salad dressing.
Aftermath: My husband and I shared our dishes, as we are prone to do at a new establishment. I'm not sure what dish did it, but 20 minutes later we both felt sick to our stomachs, and ten minutes after that I vomited out the car door. My husband never lost his lunch, but we both lived with a persistent nausia until late that night.
Conclusion: Do not eat here unless A) you like bland, greasy, stale food and poor service, or B) want to expose yourself to a potential...
Read moreWe arrived at 5:40 pm on a Saturday. Drove an hour to eat here because we have liked it before. We ordered cheese breads and drinks which came out fine with usual expected wait. We ordered entrees (meat pizza, pizza burger, kids penne Alfredo). Ordered the truffle Parmesan upgrade on the fries with the burger, came out plain. They brought out more with the upgrade but it wasn’t much of an upgrade, a few shreds of Parmesan and some seasoning. Pizza came out pretty quick, cheese not even melted in some places, dough not fully cooked on one side. Asked for them to cook it a few minutes longer, about 10 minutes later it returned, very crispy. Kids penne Alfredo came with like a spoonful of sauce. We asked for more sauce and 20 min later, still no sauce, no sign of waiter. Finally the hostess noticed our frustration and came over and brought us more sauce, although by this time pasta was cold and kiddo was melting down. He did enjoy a few bites before we packed it up to go home. Hostess also brought us our only drink refills, near the end of the meal. By the time the waiter returned we asked for boxes and check. It was a very disappointing experience. There was a large party on the patio which was the reasoning given by the hostess for the poor service. She was apologetic but it didn’t rescue the experience for us. We had hoped for a relaxing dinner out and it was a mixture of over and under cooked food and lack of service. Food initially came out promptly but due to the issues that needed correction and that we were abandoned by our waiter, it...
