By the way you are charging us the consumers a surcharge on eggs ,as a result we the consumers are cancelling the tips to the waitresses to make room for your surcharge on the eggs, .......Well, I had breakfast at this Restaurant about a week ago and the experience was so so, I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage, scrambled together, the breakfast comes with what the restaurant calls house potatoes cut in bite bites also included , English muffins. If you ordered coffee be ready to fork more than, what it's worth , but if you are a coffee drinker you will get your money's worth , although the coffee tastes cheap very close to chicory. When the food arrived, the presentation was horrible, the eggs and the sausage looked like vomit and the potatoes were way too much for a person to eat and seem undercooked, but they're tasty and with a little ketchup we're ok, the eggs and sausage looked like a mess not what you expect what you see in the picture is how I left it, just eat a few potatoes and drank 3 cups of coffee and drove to Burger king for the breakfast platter, way better than Randy's and price wise Randys almost $20.00. Burger King. $7.99 and BK presentation was good. Price was bad at Randy's way too expensive for the quality of food you get. And I think the prices are higher because the Restaurant had to pay their staff more and for this the consumer pays more and the restaurant still makes the same profit so, the wait staff will get less tips than before because of the price rates. I will give this restaurant a 6 out 10 food presentation bad, service was great, the waitress was very cordial and keeps checking on you. The atmosphere was ok. If you're on a budget I will not recommend this restaurant, it will fail to meet your expectations, try Denny's you will appreciate this recommendation. ...

Randy is the Rudest business owner I have ever dealt with. I had a very unfortunate run in with him about 6 years ago in Orchard Mesa. He was treating one of his waitresses terribly while I was trying to pay my bill, I was trying to help her break up a 10 person bill and he had a huge childish fit and yelled at me in front of all of his other patrons. I have never been so affronted by a business owner especially a customer relations based business like a restaurant. The Orchard Mesa restaurant is within walking distance of my house. Many of my family members and friends alike have had too many negative experiences, not with the restaurant but with Randy the owner treating them poorly. The best thing that could happen to the Southside Diner is just that, drop Randy. I honestly don't know how he can open a second diner and now a third. The third location is the old Buck a scoop on North Ave. and he has already been rude to people at that location and it isn't even open yet. There are very few degrees of separation in this town, so in some way everyone know everyone else. This establishment would benefit from a more customer oriented owner. The food used to be good, but I can't speak from experience as I haven't been there in years due to the...

Went this morning with my husband and 2 kids for breakfast and from start to finish our experience was bad.

First DO NOT come here if you require a wheelchair or other mobility equipment. While they do have a marked handicapped parking spot, there is a curb all the way around the entrance with NO curb cut or ramp to get onto the walkway to even get to the door. They have 2 benches outside as well blocking the walkway. There is no way someone in a wheelchair could get in this establishment.

That aside we decided to try it anyway. The sign says "please seat yourself" so we did and then waited 10 mins to even be greeted or brought menus. Another 10 minutes for our drinks (2 waters, a small chocolate milk and a Sprite) and then we were ignored completely for the next 40 minutes while waiting for our food. My husband finally had to get up to ask what was going on with our food and then it was brought out with an excuse from the server that my husband's plate had to be remade because the cook put cheese on it when he had ordered no cheese.

After getting the food it was bland and basic and clearly just slopped onto the plate. Very disappointed in this place and will not be returning, especially after the cost, definitely not...

First off the manager or whoever she was was arguing with a lady about her service dog telling she had to sit at 2nd booth coming in because it was a large dog which to me was a very stupid thing to do since the dog was then in the path of e everyone coming and going and arguing with the lady about laws. The second she said it was a service dog she should have shut up and allowed her in. Instead, it was sit there or leave. She left, then when our food came, we both ordered mommas' famous meatloaf, it looked and had the texture of mush but the french fries were good with the gravy. My wife asked about soup the waitress said today is chicken noodle when it came with the dinner instead of before like we asked it was minestrone not chicken noodle the waitress said I yeah I forget to tell you it's minestrone. I had the which was average.

Couldn't recommend Randy's enough to anyone who might be hesitant, or see the parking lot always full. There's tons of amazing food and seating at all their locations this one included! We got the eggs benedict, and a classic breakfast meal; the Hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict was amazing and extremely fresh. Ham steak was a good size too. Some places will put a couple of shaved ham slices but not Randy's. Service was exceptional as well with everything being brought timely, and courteous. I never got a chance to try thier cinnamon rolls but they always catch my eye as we're being seated. Coffee was a little weak but that's probably the only thing I would change about the experience. Excellent teamwork from everyone at this location.
