El Pulpo Restaurant — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

On 5/1/22 around 12am coming from a concert, i had just pulled in looking for a parking space so me and my family from out of town can eat but i couldn’t find any parking spaces and the ones that were available were too tight. me and my family were talking about where i could park so i stopped behind the building to ask a guy sitting on a barstool by an entrance where else i could park and the guy replied “well im trying to help you but you couldn’t see me cause you kept moving your mouth” and turned to see if he was going to get my reaction. he looked intoxicated by the way he was speaking to me in-front of my family. after he saw that he didn’t get the reaction he wanted from me, he proceeded to tell me that the parking space i tried before (that was too tight) was available but if my car gets “fuc*” up they were not going to be responsible. after he said that, i noticed a vehicle about to pull out and asked if it was okay for me to park there and said “we’ll it’s pulling out right”. that instant moment me and my family decided to leave. wasted my time and gas trying to eat somewhere that didn’t feel welcoming at all. we haven’t even gotten out of our vehicle yet and we were treated with that nasty attitude. anyone who mentions this place i’ll make sure to let them know how they treat their costumers and about...

Very small place to have live music. We went on Friday as a family but the place was packed but understandable. When we were going to be seated they made it a big deal because we had a stroller for our baby. They asked to get her car seat because the stroller would make it hard for the server’s to walk by, 2 I was told that we could put the stroller next to a non working speaker. Well the speaker was working and very uncomfortable for our baby. 3 our server knew that it was 5 of us but still only took 4 drinks; when asked for no citrus on one plate they still put it on the salad. When we asked to give us another plate without the orange that was on the salad she said “ well just have her not eat it.” I don’t know if they are not trained or what but a person that is allergic to something that they can’t consume the place of service is warned they have to make exceptions for that person no matter what. So if anyone goes to this place just remember it’s a small place and they DON’T MAKE EXCEPTIONS for their customers. We are never going back there. If you don't speak Spanish I do not recommend that you visit this place because no one, not even the Mgr spoke English(or atleast thats what our waitress said). That wasn't my entire issue because mind you I speak Spanglish but at least I try to speak Spanish. Anywho, if my food would of been good there wouldn't have been any language barrier. First our waitress did not check on us as we waited on our food to come out. I ordered a shrimp boil, which my shrimp was so dry & it had no flavor what so ever,even with the sauce. Omg! True disappointment especially when it's something you've been wanting. My spouse had some kind of seafood plate which had crab legs that were so dried out also. I asked for the Mgr and she was willing to get me something different but everyone at my table was already almost finished with their food. She handled the situation the best way she could.
