I’ve visited this place a few times and have never been disappointed! Sometimes there can be a long wait, but it’s just because the food is so good, that everyone wants to eat here! We started our visit at the bar while we waited for our table, and we ordered some wine and a soju spritzer- both very good. We got a table and ordered a bunch of rolls- honestly can’t remember exactly what we ordered but they were all good! We’ll be back for sure. EDIT 1) We came back for the Volcano Bowl for Two (*BLUE : Blue Curacao, Bacardi 151, Gin, Vodka, PJ, Sprite) which was delicious and worth getting if you like to share a sweet thing with your “sweet thing” 😝. We ordered the Crab Rangoons- which we almost always do, and even though sometimes you might have to send them back because they’re still frozen, they’re always apologetic about it and will bring them back to you piping hot (worth it!). We also ordered some soups: Sizzling Rice Soup (Sautéed broth with chicken, shrimp, and a rice patty on the side) and Miso Soup- both good (I love miso soup so it’s something I almost always order when I get sushi). We almost always return here for the Pineapple Fried Rice (With chicken & shrimp) as it’s his favorite. Of course, he enjoyed it! I ordered a couple rolls: Golden Roll (my favorite roll here): (Mango, spicy salmon, avocado and shrimp tempura, wrapped w. soy paper & served w. mango sauce & eel sauce) and the Sweetheart Roll (Crab salad, shrimp & avocado topped w. fresh tuna & drizzled w. honey sauce). Both rolls were good- exactly what I expected. We’ll be back! Edit 2) UPDATE: this visit we got the miso soup again, the Shrimp Shumai (Shrimp dumpling) which were pretty good, but not my ultimate favorite. If it’s something you normally like, I’d suggest ordering because they were good enough, but otherwise I’d recommend the crab Rangoons over those. We ordered the shrimp and filet minion hibachi, as well as an order of pineapple fried rice - a regular thing we order- served in a pineapple! Always good, according to my bf. I got sushi: the Pink Lady (Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado wrapped w. soy paper) and the Mango Hawaii Roll (Salmon, avocado, mango, wasabi, caviar, served w. spicy mango sauce)- both amazing. I love trying all the rolls here! I’ve not gotten one I didn’t like. We love this place! We’ll be back with more updates 😎 Update: I got a couple of sushi rolls this time: Spicy Angel Roll (Spicy scallop & avocado topped with king crab and jalapeño) - now that the king crab is a crab salad- not full pieces of crab * And Golden Roll* (mango, spicy salmon, avocado and shrimp tempura, wrapped with soy paper and served with mango sauce & eel sauce) The golden roll is always one of my favorites! Update: once again we got the golden roll! We also got the Snow Mountain*Roll (Shrimp tempura & avocado inside topped w. snow crab), a Dancing Fish* (Tempura shrimp & avocado topped w. salmon, tuna, wasabi aioli, spicy mayo, mango & scallion), and a Crispy Roll* (Deep fried spicy salmon & cream cheese topped w. spicy crab salad, wasabi aioli & eel sauce). Golden roll will probably always be my fave. I didn’t personally love the snow mountain roll- I don’t love crab salad and that one says it’s topped with snow crab, but it’s crab salad. The dancing fish was delicious! The crispy roll was alright, but I gravitate towards rolls without cream cheese. My bf enjoyed it though! UPDATE: my boyfriend got the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken and the Mongolian chicken, and I got the golden roll and the Maria roll. All good!!

I can't say enough about this place, but I'll try. We went here for my girlfriend's birthday Saturday night and had so much fun. Met some great people and shared the birthday cake we brought. The chef made it very entertaining and the food was amazing. We had the Fuji Special. Fillet Mignon, Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops for two people plus Fried Rice, Noodles and Vegetables for only $48. We were full when we left, we had dinner from leftovers again the next night and my girlfriend took the rest to work on Monday. It tasted just as good the second time. Every one of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. All said and done, for four people it was about $40 each with 3 sodas, a wine and tip. I've read some reviews saying this place is too expensive. Those people should stick to McDonald's. Actually what are you really gonna get from McDonald's for $40. I ate two good meals, got to be interactive with a live cooking show, met some great people, made my girlfriend very happy on her birthday, and have awesome memories to enjoy forever. I've paid more money for less fun and entertainment with no food. Like I always say, "It's not about how much money you spend. It's about the value you put on what you bought". If you want to celebrate a special occasion, Fuji Yama will make it much more special.

How to start this visit? I'm here from Ohio and was recommended to this Japanese steak house. Called a head with a party of three and they said we can't make reservations for no less than four, come in though and we will get you in. I said I'm about 20 min away, she said we are starting to thin out our crowd now. I get there about 10 mins before 8 pm. I walk in with 2 teenage boys and myself she said we will have a 5 min wait. Then, comes back and says we already seated the people and you now have to wait till 8:30. A bit irrated right now but, that's fine. Food might be worth the wait?? 8:40 pm ask the hostess how much longer it's gonna be? I have a son who is a type 1 diabetic and he has to eat soon. She states that they are waiting for a party of five to show before they can seat us or they can seat us and we have to pay for at least 4 meals. I told her if I knew that's all it would take to be seated I would have done that qost an hour ago. I had no problem in that at all butbshe should have done explained that to me. She then said they were warming up a table for me and my boys. As been seated, she stated that I wouldn't have to pay for a fourth meal cause they had the table full now. Okay don't care we are just hungry by now and getting hangry. Table is full see our waitress giving food and takeout containers as well as bills to the other side of our cooking table. By this time it's after 9pm and no drinks or staff had approached anyone at our table that had at least nine people waiting. I finally, walked up to the hostess and let her know the situation and she was the one who originally told us 5 mins then over 40 mins. Still nothing till another lady at the table called some man over and told him that we had still not been seen by any staff since we had all been seated. Again, after I had already said something to the hostess that seated all of us. A bit after, the waitress finally comes over and said she wasn't told we had even seated, even though she seen all of us seated while giving checks and takeout boxes to the people across fr us at the same table. She then rushed us all through our orders. Cook came out quickly and did great. Portion size on my order was bad when extra was asked for with the woman that took the orders. By the end of service cook was personally tipped by me and the others at the table. No one was gave a check but a young couple next to me and another lady asked for the manager because the wait time and the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. By the end, the anger finally came back twice and offered us a 30% discount because she was not aware of what had happened. I looked at her and said, you get what I chose to give you, since we got here at almost 8pm and it was now almost 11pm. Long story short... this place only cares about what they can put in their pockets. Excuses make it all better no matter who didn't do their...

I have been here in the past for sushi and it has been solid. Last night I went for hibachi and the service was just horrible. We had a 8:30p time and got there at 8:34p. We were seated right away to a table that was full once we sat down. We waited 30 minutes before we had already asked for drinks twice. Finally, I went to the hostess stand and asked for drinks. She said she was sorry, she told the waitress but the waitress must have forgot. I said for as long as we have been waiting, we expect a discount on our meals and the people waiting over an hour from out of state shouldn't even have to pay for their meals. The other people at the table were already there for an hour without drinks after asking for them too. We finally got drinks and our waitress asked us not to be upset with her because she was from the dinner side not the hibachi side. Then she said she didn't know why they cut the hibachi wait staff at 8pm. We told her we didn't want to hear excuses. We just wanted our drinks and to get our food ordered. After that we were rushed through soup and salad and orders taken. The chef was good but he knew we were not happy so it wasn't typical to what you would see a chef do at a hibachi restaurant. We did tip him directly. Then after dinner, one couple received their bill but the rest of us didn't. They were charged full price! We told the waitress that was unacceptable and asked to see the manager. We waited about 20 minutes for her to come over and it was the same person I talked to at the hostess stand! She said she was the front house manager and sorry there was bad communication but she didn't know. We told her it was her job to know and she already knew we started off with a bad experience. She said she would see what she could do. She sent the waitress came back with 20% off and I told her we could get that with a coupon and that was unacceptable. We asked to speak with the manager again. She came back with 30% off and took the drinks off. Whoopee..I had a pop. We finally took what the offered since it seemed like it was all she could do. The other family at our table put down 50.00 on a 77.00 discounted bill and left. I don't blame her...the service...
