Bring back the old fries, PLEASE. Broadleaf was a staple pre-dinner and app location for us. Their old duck fat fries were some of the best fries in GR. Sadly, we realized last night they have swapped out the crispy, fluffy fries for shoestring ones. The new fries are not bad, but also not worth $10. Looking through the reviews, many others sang the praises of the old fries. The staff said the old ones were taking too long to cook, backing up the kitchen, but I fear that the kitchen will not have plenty of time without this staple, which was worth diverting for.

Read moreHuge fan of the first location. We were very excited when they announced that there will be a second location on the westside, so checked it out during the soft opening. Familiar favourites on the beer and cocktails menu, with new creative additions to the food menu. We tried the fried cabbage, mushroom shoyu ramen, duct fat fries and Brussels sprouts. Everything were very tasty, my one critique is that the ramen could have a tad bit more flavor. We will...
Read moreI very much enjoyed the ambiance of the new BroadLeaf location. We sat at the bar and Eric assisted us. Eric was very attentive and knowledgeable of the beer. We very much enjoyed having him as our bartender! We were disappointed to find that the colorful slushie beer advertised often on their social media pages is only available on weekends, as we had visited on a week day. We both had the house burger, which has good flavor, but was quite dry. The menu is a bit limited at the moment, but I'm sure it will improve with time. It's a very cozy spot and...
