I hate to say it but my most recent visit to BK was highly disappointing. I asked for my usual: Whopper with cheese, ketchup and mustard only. Simple enough. Burger comes out and is missing the most important ingredient of those: mustard! Not a big deal. I got up and asked if I could get mustard packets. They didn’t have any. Ok. Can you just squirt mustard on it from the dispenser they use in the back? No answer only confused looks by the young woman. Minutes pass. She walks to the back to talk to the cook. There’s an argument ensuing. About my mustard debacle, apparently. Again I ask if a little bit can be put in a container for me? Again, just radio silence and another seemingly perplexed look of terror on the woman’s face yet once again her lips don’t open. Mouth doesn’t move.
Probably 5-7 minutes after I tried to fix this mustard catastrophe she hands me a bag and for reasons I’m still not grasping, hands me an entirely new burger in a new bag. I still have the first burger. This is a nice but entirely unnecessary gesture because I was in a rush and handing me mustard for my otherwise perfect burger would’ve been more expedient than making me wonder if I was about to be part of a conspiracy which I imagine would be dubbed “MustardGate” if I had any say in it. So I return with two burgers now and take a seat. Open up the wrapping and fortunately, there’s mustard on my burger alright. But there’s also an overly excessive gob of ketchup and a nauseating amount of mayonnaise which you might notice, WAS NOT ONE OF THE 3 BASIC CONDIMENTS that I had asked for when I’d first placed my order. Which it seemed like occurred months or years before this point of mayonnaise overkill and ketchup catastrophe.

No, I didn’t end up making another trip to the BK associate’s register to haggle over the mustard miscommunication. I just sat and quietly ate that far too saturated fraud of a meat hunk. My new burger was awash in condiment overkill and my old burger lacked the critical mustard which I require most to get a burger to slide down my gullet. Realizing I was going to have to accept what was becoming a King Sized BK Bummer Value Meal, I nibbled on that dripping hot mess of USDA Choice BS with heaviness in my heart and great emptiness...
Read moreSince it's been a little while since the last review was posted: I stopped in looking for cheap eats while driving-thru from somewhere to somewhere else. I got standard spec food that would've passed a corporate standards review. Good enough, cheap enough, never quite looking or tasting as amazing as the pictures suggest. The older reviews are still valid on the service, however. Some BK's are excellent. The people working my order were just adequate, not awesome or even very happy.
One employee I spied, dressed to work and having been driven in by a person who parked in a handicapped space, waited while the employee proceeded to mill about as though getting ready to clock-in. He whined to another employee about a prior agreement to cover their shift, ambled about in a seeming aimless fashion for another minute, then came back to the customer-side, ordered some food, ate it, and then went back to the car and left. All this while the driver of that car waited (patiently?). It was a strange scene. It seemed like he was intending to start a shift, but then apparently begged out of it and made his driver wait while he had a bit of meal-break. The fact of the driver's waiting made me think this was expected.
I have no complaints, but there was certainly an odd vibe going on at this BK...
Read moreWent through the drive-thru to order. I added on onion rings to my meals at the window (my order wasn't even ready) to 2 of the 3 orders, paid the upcharge and got only one onion ring. Also, asked for sauces and the BBQ sauce lid was sliced open and exploded inside the bag. Employee at the window didn't speak no more than 2 words. My order wasn't verified. I live 30 minutes away and didn't notice the issues until I got home. I called to express my disappointment and it was brushed off like a normal occurrence and was immediately offered a food voucher.
