Was not the best experience for a first-time customer. Made an order online for 2 Baklava & 2 Korean Chefs Cake that would take 30 minutes. Not a problem. I show and first have to deal with a homeless person standing out front asking for money, which is not their problem, but frustrating. When I show up, I tell the man working my pickup. And he points to the counter where there is a stack of Baklava already packaged, but they are out of the Cheesecake. So, before I can politely ask for a refund, he hands me two of the same size dishes (as Baklava) saying, "This Cinnamon..." (I could not understand what he was saying. Again, they were busy, and it was loud. He said ..."This Cinnamon....much better". I just took and went home. Needless to say, none of us were impressed with either dish. Smaller than expected, and cold. Of course, the foo had been sitting on the counter. Not sure why we had to wait 30 minutes. Read moreMy boyfriend and I tried ordering through doordash last night but it never got accepted. I proceeded to call the restaurant and the man on the phone said it never went through, I then called doordash and they said it did and it was on the restaurants end.
So, I again called the restaurant and spoke to a man on the phone and gave him my order, I then had to call back about the order because he didn’t ask about the specifics of the food we wanted which took about 10 minutes (it sounded like he didn’t know what I was talking about).
About 15 minutes after waiting outside of the restaurant, my boyfriend went in to check on the food only to find a man with no mask on that said that “the lady” took our order and he doesn’t have our food getting made. He was the only one on the restaurant.
It was very strange... needless to say we never got our food. So I’m not planning on going back. I understand there is a pandemic going on and it’s very tough on businesses but if this restaurant can’t be properly staffed, then I doubt Char will stay open long, which is very...
Read moreAvoid at all costs. I placed a to go order a few nights ago. When I stopped in to pick it up, the employees were serving a customer in front of me. The employees were rude, slow, not attentive at all while making the food. I stood there for more than ten minutes while they worked on that single order, the whole time they refused to acknowledge my presence. They were actively avoid eye contact and would not talk to me. After 5 more minutes of watching them 'work' I realized I'd never eat anything these two touched and I left (it was also pretty apparent that my order had never been made, I'm pretty sure one of them realized it and threw my shrimp on the grill while I stood there, more than 10 minutes past my pickup time) Now the restaurant has no website and no contact information and so I'm not sure how to even get my money back?
