Gita Pita — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I had never been here and I am now in LOVE. I wish I could go back every single day for lunch. This place is set up like a fast casual line (think Subway or Qdoba). From the suggestions of my coworkers I decided to get the Gyro Hummus Bowl, which was hummus topped with a spicy red sauce, gyro meat, veggie toppings of your choice, sauce and cheese of your choice and then you get 2 giant crisped up, extra chewy "tortillas" to RIP & DIP, as they said. The portion seemed big for lunch, but it was so big I couldn't even finish it (and that is so unlike me lol). Every single component to that meal was absolutely delicious and I would wholly, 100% recommend it to everyone. There were different protein choices as well. We went a little bit before noon, because it gets super busy at that time of the day (and it did). The 3 guys behind the counter were exceptionally nice, especially to me who had never been there and they were willing to explain the system and different dishes to me. Honestly, it was expensive, but I do believe that the item that I ordered was the most expensive thing on the menu. Used to be 5 stars, but the last three times I've ordered over the phone, the order was not ready at the time I was told it would be ready (they hadn't even started making it). When I arrived each time, they had no idea what my order was and I had to wait 15+ minutes each time.

This most recent time, I put in the order with Ashley. My girlfriend went to pick up the order, and once again, the order is somehow nowhere to be found. So she had to repeat multiple times what the order was because for some reason they couldn't remember two food items. They also forgot some food items with the order (the pita with the bowl), as well as a side of hummus and pita.

The last straw however, is when she went to pay for the order, and the two employees started hitting on my girlfriend. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE behavior.

I like to go different places and check out what they've got. I love to praise places that surprise me out do a great job or have good food If you check out my other rankings I rarely give low scores. I'm not trying to be a troll I have not received such awful service in years. You don't have to offer me crazy service for me to be happy. Gita Pita closes at 10. We came in at 9:20. We were at a show and my daughter was in town and she loves this place. The person at the counter was clearly unhappy we were there. He was cleaning up for the night. If you don't want customers after nine then close at 9. If it had been after 9:30, we wouldn't have gone there, but I think 40 minutes before close isn't that bad. This person was almost hostile towards us. The shawarmas were good, but he got the order wrong with the bowl and the steak was over cooked and tasted like it had been out for awhile. If you go,...
