I have always had a great experience with this place! The owner (or I assume he is) is always friendly, will have a good conversation if wanted. Fried corn on the cob is amazing 𤩠always great prices! (I already ate most of my food - then decided to take a photo).
For the reviews of the side dishes: side dishes always seem to be the same everywhere you go... With maybe a few that are notable the rest can be bland or just the same from place to place. My focus is always the main meal - chicken. If you're SUPER picky on chicken, politely ask for fresh chicken (or fish) and he will oblige. I have been here multiple times at various times of the day (sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner) and when the chicken is at the end of it's shelf life he will be honest, although I usually still take what he as "on deck" and still am not...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreChicken is some of my favorite fried chicken in the area at a great price. Much better (and cheaper!) than KFC. Sides are OK but not bad. The fired chicken batter is very good: light, we'll seasoned and not greasy like many other fried chicken places.
If you make sure to call ahead with your order they will make the chicken fresh, and it's always amazing fresh. If you don't it can definitely be dry and sub-par, especially if you go at off-peak times. I'm guessing that's what the other 1 star reviews experienced.
