Pastimes Pub at Grandview Yard — Restaurant in Grandview Heights

This our 3rd time coming to this location and let me just say 3 times is not the charm. We had patience the first two times because it’s a new location there’s gonna be some flukes. They gotta do a serious reality check if they gonna be successful. First two times the service was horrible especially for not being busy and the bacon bbq sauce for the wings was disgusting. After letting management know at the New Albany location they finally fixed it before our visit today. Just wish the ranch was the same thing cause it was so watery and nasty. Only good thing today was the service as our server, Brooke, was amazing!! She was a sweetheart and so on top of everything!! The staff seems be the big issue at this location. We noticed a few servers on the clock going back and forth between eating/drinking at a table with friends and serving their tables. It was very unsanitary and definitely against health code as they’re eating and touching their phones and hair without washing hands and going to check on their tables. The worst part though was the manager, Josh, sitting at the bar drinking beer and smoking at the bar- seems like the servers just follow his lead. Hopefully they fix the issues in the kitchen and with the staff because they got a prime spot...

First week so this rating may change and update to a higher one when I go back.

Service was really good considering how busy it was for their first Saturday open. They did a really solid job as servers. The reason for the 2 is the food. We got the nachos and man.....that thing had a full head of cabbage on it and not much else. Minimal cheese, chicken and salsa but enough lettuce to feed a pack of rabbits for 3 weeks. That plate by itself was a 1 star, it was comical how much lettuce was on this thing (one of my table mates also got the nachos and it was the same way,...so idk if by design or what but wasnt just a one off). The saving grace for our meal were the wings. The wings were really solid as I got the dry rub and they had a nice crisp to them while still being juicy. Nothing mind blowing but really solid wings which I can appreciate. Had some issues with the bill with our group but nothing major we couldnt hash out with venmo.

Would like for this place to succeed as Grandview is in dire need of more sports bars but the food left me underwhelmed. Hoping for a better experience next time I go back after they iron...

Maybe the worst experience we possibly could've had. Obviously the expectation is like a normal sports bar, so loud with food that is mid. This was the most insane experience. Staff was noticeably high to the point that the waitresses are wondering around and like spinning in the kitchen door way. We waited 45 minutes after getting our menus before we found someone to take our order who was so high she counted our 6 person table 4 times then still brought us 5 waters in 3 seperate trips. Which, at that point, we had been there so long we were ready to put in our whole order. The food was bad. The guys at the table next to us stood up and started yelling for someone to please get them a check, and they had been waiting since at least when we got there. Crazy. We went because it was next to our hotel, but literally unless it is the only place you can go, go...
