Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Grandview

This store is HORRIBLE! I ordered a build your own, up to 5 toppings, pizza delivery through the Papa app. The shape of the pizza was distorted and all of the toppings slid completely off half of the pizza. It was undercooked. I tried to stop the delivery driver but couldn't find him when I went outside so I called the store and told them I wanted my pizza remade and delivered. He said no problem, it'd take about 25 minutes for me to get it. I waited an entire hour and finally called the manager back and asked where my order was. It was a different manager then I spoke with previously. He claimed that the door dash driver stole my pizza and that it happens all the time but he'd go ahead and remake it again and have it delivered. I said that I just wanted a refund at this point cuz it'd already been 2 hours since I initially made the order. He then said that he's not authorized to refund me and that I'd have to contact customer service to be refunded. Didn't sound right or reasonable so I asked for the first managers name. He refused to give me his name and said that he'd take responsibility for it and that his name is Aric Shrey (his spelling) I again asked for the original managers name who first said that he would remake my order and send it to me. He kept refusing and said that I should get my money back, but I have to contact customer service because he's not authorized to refund. So, I called customer service and they said the store has to refund me, not them. All they can do is call the store with my complaint and try to get them to refund my money. Customer service then called the store and talked with "Aric" and he denied my request for refund. It wasn't a request!!! Now, upper management is supposed to call me back within 48 hours. So, awful service, the managers and employees are thieves and liars, and I'm still hungry, cuz they stole the last $35 to my name....

I do NOT recommend ordering delivery. Every single time that I do, I get my order a minimum of 30 minutes late, and I have had over an hour late as well. I do not mind the wait, unless the pizza is cold and old(Which it generally is). At other pizza places, they make the order free, or throw in a dessert/drink for free. Instead, I just get a 'free 2 topping lg pizza' coupon in the mail. My experience has been so bad at this exact store that I have had 4 of these coupons already. The rest of my orders here were a gift from an out of state friend. I decided to start doing carry-out. The pizza dough is never properly stretched, it has holes through the bottom, so the pizza slices generally fall apart. I called 3 times before I placed my order to ask how long the delivery time is. All 3 times I received no answer. I just ended up ordering carry out. They are understaffed, that is for sure. The shift manager at the time has control over the timers for the orders. I understand that corporate puts stress on these employees to be timely, but they are sacrificing quality to get this 'perfect timing'. It is absolutely unacceptable. My pizza's also never seem to be appropriately sliced. I generally get a half/half pizza, and they always seem to get slices with half one side and half the other. I've worked in the pizza industry for years, it is not that hard to cut a pizza properly. The staff are friendly, but most seem like, and look like they are on drugs. Literally the worst papa johns restaurant ever. I would recommend finding any other papa johns. I will give them one star for consistancy, they are consistantly bad without fail. I think since no one but them delivers in this area it must be the one thing that keeps them alive because all I ever hear about this particular store is how bad their service is. Thier service has been bad for the past two years from completely wrong orders to not showing up at all. Our family is big on the dipping sauces which are 75¢ a piece we usually buy about two to three dollars worth at least it's a miracle to get those I can't imagine how much they net on not putting those in peoples orders alone. This was my final straw with the blue ridge store today ordered the pizza at 4:50pm for a 8pm delivery because of time sensitivity for family plans tonight the pizza arrived at 8:40 the rest of the family had left at 8:30 to grab food before they meet their obligations and I assumed once again that papa johns was just a no show. At 8:40 the guy knocks no appology not even seeming to think 40 minutes late for a scheduled delivery tine was a problem. I asked if there was anything he could do or a discount I explained everyone had already left and I had placed the order before 5 for a time specific delivery of 8p.m. He said "I mean, I could cancel your order."
