Horrible horrible experience got there and got seated right away. It took our server about five minutes to come and serve us our drinks. We proceeded 10 minutes later to order our food. It was three of us each one of us ordered a meal, but for some reason, when our food came out, we only received two meals, I then asked to speak to the manager because I was wondering where the third meal was the manager, then came over actually look like she had attitude did not do her best to serve us Then blamed it on the server and said she never rang it in so then I said well then how did the third person receive their extra side if she never rang it in I said well then, can you tell me what the sides were to that meal, she didn’t repeated to me The sides on the third meal was the same side that I had and that was not true so I read off the sides to the third meal and when, and let me mention that we waited 30 more minutes for that meal to come out when the meal did finally come out All the sides were wrong. She then proceeded to tell me that she would take that meal off of the bill but when I paid at the counter conveniently that meal was on my bill when she told me that the waitress never rang it in, so she lied I then proceeded to call you back and let you know that I was charged for a price for that meal that was not. Supposed to be on the receipt I mean the fact that the waitress which is who she blamed it on, did not ring it in but somehow there it was on my receipt so then, when I proceeded to call and let her know that they still charged me for that third meal that took over an hour for us to receive it at that point we were just done the third person packed their meal up and said well since you guys are done eating, I’m just gonna take my home and eat because I don’t wanna eat alone so then I proceeded to call the store and let her know that they still charge us for the third meal she said oh well I’m sorry I cannot refund you any of your money. The only thing I can do is Give you two free meals when you come back.. She is a sucky manager She does not care about the customers I believe her name was like Lexi or something.. also, I forgot to mention when the first catfish meal came out I had to send that back because The catfish was undercooked they didn’t give me no hush puppies they gave me one cornbread muffin And then, after receiving my new meal, the third meal still was wrong And never came It took them probably 20 minutes to fix that meal not even adding the hour that we sat there and waited for this one meal to be cooked while me and my daughter enjoyed our food and my husband sat there waiting for his food to come that they claimed was never rang in, but still was...
Read moreI love taking my wife out for breakfast when we can, and Cracker Barrel has come to be our favorite place for that. From the moment you drive up to the distinctive building with its wide veranda full of sturdy rocking chairs and a few checkerboards on barrel-tables, it feels as if you've crossed from the everyday to a nicer place. That feeling only intensifies when you enter, to be welcomed - not just greeted - by a friendly host or hostess into an antique-laden great room where all sorts of old-fashioned toys, games, decorative items, even clothing can be viewed, or you can go immediately to the desk and be seated. (We've never had to wait more than a few minutes, and can usually get right in, but the Cracker Barrel app lets you find your place in line before you even get there). When you're seated your beverage order will be taken, and then you can take your time over a cup of coffee or tea, or a glass of water or soda, working your way through the menu. Everything on that menu is excellent, believe me, but be aware that portions are generous at Cracker Barrel so if you didn't arrive hungry and don't want leftovers, order accordingly. The service is outstanding, but while your order is being prepared you may want to look at the evocative - and genuine - antiques which fill the walls in the dining room. It's rare not to hear at least one guest comment that "my grandma had one of those!" or "I've only ever seen one of those before in a museum!" And then - enjoy your meal! Your server will be sure your beverage is fresh, and the quiet but friendly atmosphere makes for excellent table conversation. Perhaps you'll just want to watch the logs burn in the huge fireplace. You won't be rushed, but when you're ready to leave, bring your check to the desk. You'll find the prices are low for the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the service. Remember to tip your server, and now would be a good time for another stroll through the retail area - the authentic checker sets are awesome, and nice to have around for long afternoons or quiet evenings. Someone will likely wish you well as you leave; take your time crossing that homey veranda and returning to...
Read moreTerrible service by the hostess and Manager on duty. We had a party of 6 adults and 1 child The hostess ended up sitting 2 large parties before us that had arrived after us. When asked how much longer we would have to wait. she had a snotty attitude and answered "a bit" Then she tried sitting 6 large adults at a 4 top with one seat on the end where the seat on the end would be but up against another customers chair in the walkway. We asked her to turn the table so we could fit and not disrupt the other customer and be in the walkway and she said she would have to talk to the manager and ran off. After a five minute wait, I took it upon myself to rearrange the table. Then our server came over and she was the nicest and most friendly of the poor attitudes in that place. She took our drink orders and was on her way. Then the manager came over and asked if we had a problem with the way the seats were set. I told him yes, so we moved them so we could all sit comfortably and out of the walkway, and not disturbing the other guest across from us. He started to argue that he wouldn't come into my home and change the furniture so what makes me think I could do that there. I explained the thoughtless setup his hostess had arranged to explain why we needed things moved. And he replied if we have a problem we can leave the restaurant. Poor manager, we solved the problem his staff made and he did not take time to correct for the customer. Seems that the customer is not important anymore. I know there are shortages in the serving industry but for those who are serving and have a bad attitude like these, should rethink the career in service. We told him we were fine and he left. Amongst the other bad attitude and uncalled for remarks, how was he made a Manager? Our server though was the best, she did not auction off the plates and was attentive to refills and food requests. And she had a great attitude the whole time. So she was...
