In case u don't want to read my novel, I'll try to summerize: Their system to tell u it's time to go to ur table is extremely flawed! I wanted to rip in to the hostess so bad. Our 20-30 minute wait turned 40-50 because of this! We got great food. Probably the only good thing about our time here today. The service was terrible. Empty glasses for the majority of our meal. Nobody around to ask for help. Had to creepily watch and wait for another table to order in order to get waitress attention. This was 2nd time in a row we have had a bad experience at this location. Bad, inedible-ly salty food and bad service the last time.
Went in for a late lunch. Pit our name in and was to 20-30 minute wait. After about 20 min, I get the txt to "proceed to the host stand to get one of the next open tables," so that's what we did. We went to the congested area by the host stand where lots of people r waiting to he seated and others r trying to leave. Not a very comfortable place to stand and wait. We waited 5 minutes and I get another txt saying the same thing, gather my party and head to host stand. I think we were supposed to check in or something, but the txt didn't say anything about talking with the host just go to that area. I don't go here very often to know these things. Idk if they recognize me or what, but 10 min later when I finally made a comment to the hostess about having got the txt and seeing people come up after us get seated first (it had been 15 minutes since receiving the txt, plus the 20 waiting before the txt). The girl asked if we checked in. Yes, I checked in when we got here, that's how I got the txt, right? She looked and there were 2 parties a head of us. HOW!? We waited longer watching more people get called to a table who came up after us. Finally, 25 minutes (give or take 5 minutes) after receiving the first txt telling us to come to the front and 45 minutes (give or take 5 min) after getting there the girl says, follow me and walks away. Mind u there r 30-40 people in this area waiting for a table and all other parties were called by name. She apparently was talking to me. She wasn't looking at me, she walked past me and was 2 people away as she spoke. We followed her to a table and hoped our experience was going to get better from there....wrong. Well, not completely wrong. The food was great. The service on the other hand, not so much. We were placed at the end of a "no outlet" section. Our waitress came by once to check on us after we ordered and before our food came. We sat with empty cups for most of the time we were at the table. Because of the location of the table, there were not pass by waitresses that we could ask for something. We Had to creepily watch and wait for a nearby table to order to pull her before she walked away. We looked around for our waitress multiple times, couldn't spot her anywhere, but i could see a couple other waitresses chitchatting near the check out stand, just out of reach to try to get their attention. I would have brought any of this up to a manager, but no manager came to our table or was seen. I do not eat at Texas Roadhouse very often, and after this experience, I want to even less.
The last time I ate here, I had a poor experience also. I don't remember exact details, but I remember inedible-ly salty food and poor wait...
Read moreMy husband and I always order our steak medium at Texas Roadhouse. Sometimes he gets the ribs. I on the other hand, never get anything but a 12oz ribeye steak and I always order it the same way each and every time MEDIUM. Today I was informed by the manager Jada at the Grandville MI location that Texas Roadhouse always leaves a pink center in medium steaks. The steak clearly did not have a pink center, it was red. This was the kitchens second attempt at a medium steak. I was calm and remained so until she started biting off her words at me as if I was being unreasonable. I don't enjoy sitting there with No Food while my husband and our guests eat. By the time my second steak arrived they were done eating. So I figured no big deal they are busy. I will just take it home and eat it while catching up on our shows. I have alot of patience especially for the people who work in the service industry, because I have been in there shoes.. what I don't have patience for are servers and especially management that dismisses a complaint and bites off their words from the get go and dose not offer to remove it from the check, without me asking. I wasn't even going to take this sad attempt at a medium steak home, until she insisted. FYI the dog is eating good tonight. So for your information Jada, I would rather sit there and enjoy a delicious Texas Roadhouse steak with my companions, then deal with all that static from you. FYI owner of this location, a man seated across from us had the opposite steak issue and the manager Jada was as sweet as pie to him. An Jada I didn't let your attitude towards me affect the tip. The twenty dollar tip on a 60$ check was well earned by our server Tyler. He...
Read moreWe knew we would have to wait for a table. It was Friday night at 6pm. We could see how busy it was and we had no expectation to be sat quickly. We put our name on the waiting list and waited the expected 45 minutes. When we got the text that our table was ready, we went to the hostess and presented our party of 6. However, they mistakenly entered 4 as the number for our party. The hostess stated that there was a mistake made, offered NO apology, counted the number of parties ahead of us and said “you have 6 parties ahead of you for a table of 6 It will be another hour or more”. We said, ok…we have 2 children with us, is there anything you can do?” The hostess stared at her computer screen and said “No”. Then continued to stare at the screen as we stood there, dumbfounded. She literally ignored us from that moment forward. She would it look up or acknowledge our presence or our dismay. We asked to speak to a manager. The manager was just as indifferent, offered no apology, for THE HOSTESS’s mistake, and offered nothing…no free meal coupon for the future, no $1 off a beer, NOTHING. She just stood there. Our grandchildren were starving by this point so we left and went to another restaurant.
We have NEVER had such indifferent, apathetic service. We LOVE TR and choose to go there often because the food and service has always been good. NOT this time. Anthony Sherry and Brittany Brown (Managers) should be ashamed. We will...
